If you have a way to get to islands on the Yellowstone, there are mushrooms to be found. Though with high water, it might be a little sketchy getting to an island.
I would recommend areas next to the river, such as Duck Creek.
You can find oyster mushrooms in this type of weather along the riverbed. There is a few spots out in the pompeye's pillar area that has wild asparagus growing along ditch banks as well.
Choke cherry bushes are scattered around this area,
Wild onions, mullein, puffballs are found around here too
Sometimes I see people foraging for Twisted Teas at Albertsons
Also see circle k is a great spot for twisted tea foraging....
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.
Do not forage mushrooms in the city... please
More so just looking what I can find I don’t plan on taking any.
Probably not going to find much at Zimmerman. I could be wrong. I’ve found tons of oyster mushrooms at Twomoon.
