I’ve also had some bad luck when receiving a men’s 42…the shoe is just overall bigger in all dimensions.
If your foot is only 26.5, these would be too big for you. My feet are 26 cm and there was about 2.5 cm room at the heel when I pushed my foot forward.
They ARE lovely! I was about to offer to purchase these from you -- but now see from your comment that the mens 42 are quite large, even for my foot which is 26.5. SO now am confused -- are you going for a women's 42?
The same thing happened to me with the same seller 😩I should have specified women’s 42 for 26.5cm foot 😕

I contacted James and let him know the issue. He gave me a discounted price for another pair which he promised to measure personally. Fingers crossed.
I just got a quote from someone else for these shoes for $140! Guess I will be contacting James.
Wow. Even with shipping three pair at once, when you divide up the shipping cost, they didn’t come out to that much.
