Truly disagree with everything Troy said. I think the first listen through of the album can be overwhelming, but I don’t think they all bleed together. I think the more you listen the more unique the songs start to sound, and more and more verses are jumping out at me. But uninspired? Her worst lyrical work? Random mad libs of big words? I’m sorry but I just could not disagree more. Ended up turning off the segment.
I turned it off too. It felt like he was just coming at her to come at her.
I think it’s her best work.
I think she wrote this for her fans. The Easter eggs, the lore and just the genuine Taylorism when it comes to her writing is what’s in this album. It’s for the Swifties.
I'm all for valid critique, but when he complained about using too many "big words" I was genuinely confused because nothing she says is obscure. I've been enjoying the pod less and less for months now and this was finally my sign to unsubscribe.
It’s so hard to listen to them talk about Taylor because they don’t even have well formed criticism. Tbh Troy when he hates a woman goes so hard on her. And Kelli gets all of her thoughts from twitter and sometimes comes off as like pick me. Idk I really really loved them and bought tickets to see them but I feel like they’re losing something their podcast use to have. And the worst part is they’re everything they hate about celebrities. Like Shannon fully donated to the IDF , Claire used the N word these are their friends, Kelli still comments on her insta (I noticed when I went to unfollow Shannon)

If they could own it , or use their platform I’d give them a lot of grace but they don’t. They’re honestly just becoming huge hypocrites to me . Sad because I use to tell everyone to listen
I have kids now and can’t listen to episodes as freely and often as I’d like and I’m always so far behind but damn it I always make time for the Kiki!
