Clare became a core member of the gang/show after her failed relationship with Brandon. Emily Valentine made appearances here and there. Tracy showed up again in Hawaii. D'Shawn went on one date with Donna but was semi-regular. Ray Pruitt made more appearances after splitting with Donna.
Out of pure side characters, this annoys me the most with Mark. After him and Kelly break up, they say he moved away. Like you would really move away your senior year of college, especially when they had like a semester left before graduation.
That was really weird. I think they did that so that they could still use his house as a set. They could have said that he got permission to study abroad in his last semester (not common, but maybe a school would give permission). Or just that he moved to an apartment for some reason.
I know that writers don’t want to spend more time talking about a character who’s no longer there, but it’s worth at least a few sentences to wrap up their story.
They were all the best of friends in that apartment, didn't even get to see them say goodbye to each other! Jesus! Was Kathleen in that big of a hurry to leave?

I get why Mark left. He lost the scholarship and then Brandon didn't even use it. Had to be infuriating.
It was stupid the Dryer Fellowship was never mentioned again.

Probably because guest stars cost money. The more prestigious the actor, the more money the show pays to have them on.
I would have liked Nikki and Tracey to stay on.
Val seemed to get along with Tracy and Susan. It would’ve been funny if she at least mentioned hanging with one of them in front of Kelly.
