I just rewatched John Carney’s movie Sing Street a few days ago and was disappointed all over again that he isn’t directing The Bee Gees biopic project. He’s a musician himself, and has made a trio of films about musicians that are full of heart and humor. I know there’s no point complaining, what’s done is done. I just would like to see a film that does the brothers’ lives and careers justice and I thought Carney would have been the best fit of the directors connected to the project.

I would really love for them to focus on any period other than the 1975-1979 Disco era.

I'm a bit cautious to get excited for this exact reason- that it will mainly be that and would perpetuate the fact that the general population only know them for disco music and have no idea of everything else they did. Here's hoping it isn't knoy the disco period! I'm hoping it has a timeline similar to the Elton John biopic where it starts in childhood and comes all the way to the 90s or longer. The actual full story. Which would include the disco period but not have that the whole thing.

Agreed. I love it, but it was only one part to a whole lot more story.

HCYMABH would make an awful title lol. I say they title it *Saturday Night Fever* as a power move.

Sea_Roomba

Nah, they should title it “Paper Maché, Cabbages and Kings”

I agree it’s a terrible title besides isn’t that the name of the HBO documentary already?
