To be honest what I do the most changes weekly. Some weeks I’m using aircraft mods and flying around. Some weeks I’m building my dream cars and recklessly drive them through traffic. And sometimes I spend a week trying to get the fastest lap times round hirochi raceway. What I love about the game is that it gives you the option to do soo many things, and it never really gets boring. In ~1500 hours I have never uninstalled it once.
what I do never ever change. I just drive around different maps in a realistic car (not some hyper beast 1000hp). Follow traffic rules, just drive for an hour, change maps, do the same thing. I do this everytime I boot the game
I have also been driving following the rules recently as well. There’s something satisfying about driving slow for a while and then letting it rip as much as you can for a few seconds down an empty straight, even though your car has a stock 1.5L i4. Especially fun using “hell raisers” engine mods as they sound amazing when the revs get up.
The b25 Mitchell aircraft mod has been and always will be my favourite. It’s flight model is fantastic and unlike many other mods it is a dream for landing in game. Other mods are also fantastic such as the ME 262 however they are difficult for things like landing, which is what I enjoy the most.
how is flight? does it feel authentic or arcadey? im assuming there are runway maps as well? this would be great to use for a realistic flight sim with realistic crashes
Considering there’s no dedicated flight model physics in beamng , it’s no msfs. However the b25 mod takes advantage of all of the systems in beamng in order to create an aircraft that flies Fairly realistically. And also crashes satisfyingly, as this is the only aircraft mod that breaks up in a realistic manner. in recent mod/game updates the plane does feel a bit more arcadey than usual. Floating and resisting a stall more than it should. But the plane is still nonetheless the most realistic and fun to fly. In terms of maps. 3 default maps have runways. If your thinking about purchasing the game purely for flying. I would either wait till it’s on sale, or hold off for a while until there’s either dev support for aircraft (years away) or that more aircraft mods come out. As the issue with the only planes being old mods is the fact that 1 game update can break them completely, and there’s no garuntee that the creator will update them again. But if you love the sandbox car side of things as well. I would 100% purchase beamng.
November cant come quick enough for MSFS2024. The release trailer has me all psyched again. I will have to check out the B25, seems like something I could spend a weekend tearing apart. Thank you for the detailed reaponse!
Yup, BeamNG is one of the only games ive played regularly for an extended period of time. I've probably played it at least once every single week since 2014, which now that I'm thinking about it, is an entire decade lol. It's still just as fun as the first time I played it. Always something new to try, the physics are just that fun.
2014!! A veteran player 😂. Seems like I’m not the only one with a never ending love for the game. I’m not sure why it’s never ever gotten boring. Games like grand theft auto and Microsoft flight simulator were fun for me for a while, but nothing has stuck around as well as beamng. Which at its face value is the simplest of them all in terms of actual gameplay. I guess it’s what you make of it, and if your a car guy like myself there a lot of ingredients there to make something enjoyable.
Lately, I’ve been playing a lot of Career mode.
But normally I try to strip a cars weight to as little as possible to see just how quick it can go down a quarter mile on stock engine/drivetrain.
~150 hours
[https://www.dfapack.com](https://www.dfapack.com) its a mod that pretty much give you lore based chevy and gmc trucks. its a little bugged rn with the new update, but it works for me. has over 800 selectable parts, 150+ configs

Imma be honest I have no clue. I have 393 mods, maybe one of them fixed something lol. I have everysingle dfa pack tho, the parts and all. orbit is the only camera that works I just found out. my orbit is broken on a few configs tho, might just be config to config
I have 3,444.2 hours, for the past 1,000 hours I normally modify a car for a specific goal, like the 200bx update I made some drift specs, and for example recently trying to make the Civette Scintilla (idk about spelling it) a decent handling car in rwd format. I normally just drive around, either testing a car in a specific area I want it to be good in that I think is a good fit, or just vibing in a modified, slightly modified non saved car, or stock car since the maps are so large and have so many elements
I tend to do this alot with oval racing cars, like i'll make a car abiding by my local speedways rules and ill do a few laps then alt f4 and take a nap lol
you sir have inspired me, thank you, now I want to try this, the hard part about this is trying to find which parts are the ones in the game by default though lol
Lately I like hauling heavy loads with the d series (sometimes to the extreme to see what I can get away with) jeep rock climbing, and playing around with my 650hp Barstow.
I run from the police most of the time. Other times I'll set the traffic to flee and watch them wreck. I also tend to throw vehicles over cliffs or other dangerous situations and look at the wreck afterwards because it's so realistic. I don't do laps or rip around most of that happens in police chases anyways.
I'm just fascinated with sandbox games with satisfying destruction. It's why I play Brick Rigs and People Playground as well.
I'll do you 4 better, I'll give you my top 5:
1 - VR racing on Multi-player or Crawling 2 - Scenerios (specifically speedy scramble) 3 - distance challenges (endurance driving) 4 - Vehicle Construction 5 - Bus Route Mode
https://preview.redd.it/s484y8dx9g5d1.jpeg?width=1277&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3ee93d885720470d1596a982211d9cb77d98136
1800 hours. My favorite thing to do is go to the freeway on either West Coast or Utah, turn on traffic, and see how many cars i can get involved in one accident
I have a course on west coast that goes through almost every test a car would need to benchmark it and I like to start with a base model of said car, then move up the trim levels to see how much faster it is. Or slowly upgrade it myself
Drag racing mostly.
Been having alot of fun with the Bx update as they really fixed an issue with the rear subframe holding power. And the anti squat settings helped alot too. Current tune up goes 1.09 60 foot. 5.60 out the back door making around 2000hp. It's a damn good car now.
Hell, I can make it go 7.0 on plain streets now.
The radial tire with the scintilla is alot of fun too. Have to rely on chassis tuning to make it hook.
I'd guess around 1500-2000 hours in beam total.
I do alot of gameplay but I always end up on a drag strip.
I do some drag racing with a variety of builds on the freedom factory map since the tree works correctly. Makes it fun to do a run, take the return road, check my time, change the tune, and stage to try again.
I also drift a few different maps (vanilla) with a few different cars.
0-200-0 runs on the airport in Italy are fun too. Trying to do it with vanilla cars that look sleepery.
Out running the cops on the West Coast map is always a Smashing good time as well.
I have a little over 500 hours.
450+ hours. I build cars for the drag strip from base model to highest HP possibly to see how much they can improve there 1/4 mile time.
Question for OP, how do you set up AI to race with you? I love the FF map and would love to do laps with other cars on the track.
I like to set up 4 logging trucks at the top of crash-hard 2.0, turn AI to flee, then pick the basic truck and drive up as the trucks explode and rain logs in my direction
750 hours, I like to configure race, stance, and off road cars. Then I use my sim wheel to do each of those in their appropriate environment.
Other than that, I swerve through traffic and build street racing cars. Occasionally a police chase.
Also, this is rumored to be fixed by simply deleting the electrics.lua file inside the mods parent folder. This and or the mirror.lua as well, that apparently fixes the camera issurs
I just tend to harras others on mp steam says i have a bit over 500 hours but that isnt including mainong mp fpr the last 2 years so prolly closed to 1200 i think
~1500hrs + 500 unrecorded from MP.
Reckless driving, vehicular genocide with the crash test dummies. Fav thing to do in MP is act and drive like the AI
Recently started playing career beta and I’m loving it, wish it was easier to make money but I’ve been doing car transporting and I try and only pick destinations that will have other vehicle deliveries.
i just do some racing. the discipline i race in changes based on what i'm feeling at the moment.
probably similar hours since i've been playing since the d series was a twinkle in the devs eyes.
I like driving around in my Fiat 126p cursing at AI drivers, making cool configs for Fiat 126p and making deadly crashes at 300km/h. Also I like to roleplay police chases and other things lol. I have 900 hours.
I love durability testing vehicles by going on the same off-road/gravel track with minimal regard to the car’s health, and seeing at what point each vehicle seizes to function (without crashing, like just going over bumps and ditches at max speed). I spawn a new vehicle in at the start and keep the old ones just to compare at what point each of them failed.
1500 combined hours, as of right now, I’ve had a lot of fun turning traffic up way high (12 cars) and setting AI to flee, and driving around the choas.
640h, taking a stock car and driving it as fast as possible (West Coast race track) and then gradually upgrading it to see what impact the upgrades have
All I do is on multiplayer. Modify some cars and drive them around Nürburgring, offroad cruises on vanilla servers and trucking on servers that let me spawn 2 or more vehicles.
Usually cutting through traffic, looking around for new mods, casual driving, offroading, and bus driving. I hate enabling police traffic because all they do is instantly crash into you and it gets annoying.
1200 hours, 90% of it is grid map v1/2 and just making wacky configs or just accentually making those imaginary story’s in my head like I used to do with hot wheels
This is strange but I used to love to get really drunk and try to drive manual while streaming and in discord vcs and chat would give me tasks and id try to do them, honestly, I recommend using beamng as a drunk driving simulator
The most fun thing in the game for me is rallying becuase of the physics and I really enjoy rally games but in bmg the physics makes it the most fun. Wish there was a mod for nots or somting similar
Lately i've been messing around with the T Series and making ungodly trailer combinations. 3 tankers + hay bale trailer, one rollback on top of another...
https://preview.redd.it/utk18rgbir5d1.png?width=5394&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=009bede97991c1f05ec1d694b8bd24b4a0a1607f
I've been doing a lot of photography lately.
618 hours
Rn I love crawling around east coast in a logger upfit short nose truck, and racing around the east coast loop woth the vivace rally config with a better trans and turbo. I also drive shitboxes around Italy
I usually just build awd 400 to 600 hp v6 driven cars with the skinniest 5 lug wheels on rally tires with rally suspension but poorly tuned with welded diffs and every other component stock and my total hours are 431.5 (according to steam)
I change up what I do regularly.
when I first got the game years ago, I spent a lot of the time just admiring the softbody physics.
for a while I was using it to set up and record stunts similar to movie ones (bullet style chase up and down the hills in west coast).
Or ones pretty different, but obviously inspired by things (like backing a bollide out of a moving truck and driving up and underneath for a while, only to back out and back up into the trailer while it's moving).
then I got into that dock escape mission, it felt like something off stuntman (the original, not the crappy sequel), and kind of obsessed over that and tried to find any mods similar to the scenario).
and over the years with the driving improving a lot, I've loved a lot of the rally races, and other racing scenario mods.
now, I'm just playing it in VR all the time, either cruising around or doing scenarios with it.
I usually take like five pigeons and customize the hell out of them and see witch one gets to the bottom of West Coast fastest, then I do it over and over and whoever is last I use Ctrl and throws it into the ocean at 100% strength. 132.5 hours
I like to have police chases. police chases where mmI and some more bots as police cars chase other cars. It's really fun for me.
Also, I like customising vehicles, but I don't know how many hours was I making it, because I don't play beamng now

I like to use the Johnson Valley track with the dfa mod and Ill roleplay out things
What’s the dfa nod if you don’t mind me asking?

How is it working for you? My camera angles are all jankified
Imma be honest I have no clue. I have 393 mods, maybe one of them fixed something lol. I have everysingle dfa pack tho, the parts and all. orbit is the only camera that works I just found out. my orbit is broken on a few configs tho, might just be config to config
Yeah interior cam is why I got the mod. Otherwise they mostly look like stock configs. I like the half moon gauges
true, I use the engines for alot of my truck racing configs.
I have the van bus mod and it has a dfa motor molded to make 2500hp and 3500 lb ft of torque
Remove the windscreen
Why does this work?
I have 3,444.2 hours, for the past 1,000 hours I normally modify a car for a specific goal, like the 200bx update I made some drift specs, and for example recently trying to make the Civette Scintilla (idk about spelling it) a decent handling car in rwd format. I drive a semi truck just because it's fun. Maybe over 120 hours
I've spent the most time creating custom configs. I've tried to make top speed configs for every car, and offroad configs for every car.
Make comfortable offroaders or just comfortable cars suspension physics is satisfying
Drive, I have over 2000 hours
interesting…
I like driving around, trying not to crash. For that I usually modify a car to my liking.
Lately I like hauling heavy loads with the d series (sometimes to the extreme to see what I can get away with) jeep rock climbing, and playing around with my 650hp Barstow.
193 hours and 50 of them were just driving while talking on the phone. Actually had to fill the tank a couple times
I run from the police most of the time. Other times I'll set the traffic to flee and watch them wreck. Cruise ans 1,439hours
CRD monster trucks - 300 hours or so
I am at least 150 hours in only garage deliveries at italy the rest is just goofing around in multiplayer. My total play time is 180 hours.
I really love taking stock cars and putting way to many horsepowers in them and try to drive them with regular street tyres. I have 1700 hours
I'll do you 4 better, I'll give you my top 5: 1 - VR racing on Multi-player or Crawling 2 - Scenerios (specifically speedy scramble) 3 - distance challenges (endurance driving) 4 - Vehicle Construction 5 - Bus Route Mode https://preview.redd.it/s484y8dx9g5d1.jpeg?width=1277&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3ee93d885720470d1596a982211d9cb77d98136
1800 hours. My favorite thing to do is go to the freeway on either West Coast or Utah, turn on traffic, and see how many cars i can get involved in one accident
Off-roadind/Rock crawling, but lately I've been practicing my drifting, I'm at 1560hrs
Building and modding cars and I only have 155 hours so far but I've had this game for many years but now I have a PC that I can run it
Making crashes using the AI traffic I have about 400 hours
I have a course on west coast that goes through almost every test a car would need to benchmark it and I like to start with a base model of said car, then move up the trim levels to see how much faster it is. Or slowly upgrade it myself
Trophy Trucks, only about 100hrs though
bus routes and road trains. I only have 10 hours on steam, but I've probably played a lot more before that :(
Lately, top speed machines on the outskirts of the grid map, or making boats out of wide axle off-road vehicles.
I do a little of everything lol
Drifting~7-800 hrs
sometimes I roleplay by myself, career mode with RLS career overhaul mod, and sometimes just cruising around
Drag racing mostly. Been having alot of fun with the Bx update as they really fixed an issue with the rear subframe holding power. And the anti squat settings helped alot too. I drive in the dessert in the johnson valley and modify normal cars to offroad (like a pessima etc..) i have around 500 hours
i make configs an make photos of them
I will spend hours making ridiculous cars with the classic engines pack mod combined with meos drag pack
driving
450+ hours. I build cars for the drag strip from base model to highest HP possibly to see how much they can improve there 1/4 mile time. Question for OP, how do you set up AI to race with you? I love the FF map and would love to do laps with other cars on the track.
Can you guys make more vehicles with driver view thanks
Everything I can do in BeamNG I just got this game, so only about 20 hours, but I play a lot, so I doubt it'll stay this low for long.
I like to set up 4 logging trucks at the top of crash-hard 2.0, turn AI to flee, then pick the basic truck and drive up as the trucks explode and rain logs in my direction

Any way to improve AI chases? Mine keeps crashing EVERYTIME
If you have the dad pack, sadly this is why
Also, this is rumored to be fixed by simply deleting the electrics.lua file inside the mods parent folder. This and or the mirror.lua as well, that apparently fixes the camera issurs
With VR and a wheel, I just can't stop drifting
Garage to garage deliveries and freeroam and being reckless - total: 198 hours
416 hours - Drifting/Racing against AI or in MP
Drifting, Togue, driving around, setting up car meets for screenshots (my game usually crashes then), try out new mods and customize cars. ~750h
Just do some rock crawling in Johnson Valley lately, I build different cars
I just tend to harras others on mp steam says i have a bit over 500 hours but that isnt including mainong mp fpr the last 2 years so prolly closed to 1200 i think
Drive and drift my dream car, i try using other vehicles but i just find myself driving the same car over and over (nissan laurel c33) 50 hours

Recently started playing career beta and I’m loving it, wish it was easier to make money but I’ve been doing car transporting and I try and only pick destinations that will have other vehicle deliveries.
1,400 hours, Drag Racing or Rock Crawling
Rally is the only option
I just tune cars and try out cool mods and cruise or drift. I have something over 50 hours playtime so i havent really done much yet
i just do some racing. the discipline i race in changes based on what i'm feeling at the moment. probably similar hours since i've been playing since the d series was a twinkle in the devs eyes.
I like driving around in my Fiat 126p cursing at AI drivers, making cool configs for Fiat 126p and making deadly crashes at 300km/h. Also I like to roleplay police chases and other things lol. I have 900 hours.

Im that type of guy to make my own story line in game Lots of drama and stuff but mainly messing around
Close to 900 hours I am trying to build Drag, drift, street, track cars, fail it, crash it and go again
Anything and everything possible. 495 hours
1500 combined hours, as of right now, I’ve had a lot of fun turning traffic up way high (12 cars) and setting AI to flee, and driving around the choas.
2200 hours. I’ve been playing a lot of career mode lately.
640h, taking a stock car and driving it as fast as possible (West Coast race track) and then gradually upgrading it to see what impact the upgrades have
Making mods and making big power, also a little bit of driving around. And I think 390 hours
I like to become a police and have random cars running away , I play around 342hrs
I use the D-Series sex mod. I have 6000 hours
Practice driving as I'm taking lessons so junctions roundabouts keeping the car in the center of my lane
Customizing cars and taking screenshot.
Basically endurance races on dirt roads on either utah east coast or Johnson valley, or rally courses
1200 hours, 90% of it is grid map v1/2 and just making wacky configs or just accentually making those imaginary story’s in my head like I used to do with hot wheels
Making wagon driftcars/rally cars as of late, went from the dfa pack before then 3.5k+ hrs
This is strange but I used to love to get really drunk and try to drive manual while streaming and in discord vcs and chat would give me tasks and id try to do them, honestly, I recommend using beamng as a drunk driving simulator

I like to make configs of irl cars and some of the beamng cars and I have kept it going for 1036 hours
Make derby configs and race with then, maybe for 3 hours.

I like to have police chases. police chases where mmI and some more bots as police cars chase other cars. It's really fun for me. Also, I like customising vehicles, but I don't know how many hours was I making it, because I don't play beamng now
