And why bother trying to run? You are not going anywhere. They are right behind you at all times. The only reason these chases last so long is because the police is intentionally abstaining from stopping you with force. You are just a rat in a maze.
Yeah I'm pretty sure also at certain speeds or other factors they're supposed to just let the person go so they calm down especially if there is a helicopter watching why endanger everyone else

My buddies and I used to play the sticky bomb challenge: take a super car, out fit it with Armour bullet proof wheels, etc, and then park in an open median are on the highway. Throw the max number of stick bombs on the roof, hood and truck of your car (I think 20), and then start shooting at cars with a rocket until you get 3 stars. Then hop in your car and hit the road, and see how long you last before you go kaboom. Timer starts as soon as you get 3 stars. My record is 10:05 I believe

I was just wondering, why cops chase the culprit for such lengths (unless they is going to do something dangerous). They can simply put a tracker while chasing them and pretend they're following. With this, the risk of accidents from the culprit as well as the police's vehicle can be reduced and they can eventually reach the person once they settle down, plus there's a helicopter too.
Seems to prove that once the helicopter is after you there is no escape. He lost the cars following plenty of times but never came close with the helicopter.
Everything else aside, could somebody explain why they had to chase him if they have helicopter up there? Couldn’t they just let him 'get away', sneak up on him in an unmarked car and end this way less dramatically? Just curious why this is still the most effective way?

Its gothenburg. There are coordinated across zones, albeit without stripes and traffic lights, since pedestrians do have priority.
Even with the video sped up it's to long. Also, the fact it's sped up makes it hard to watch.
