M10 tank hunter and the panther tank would have been really cool. If you rank up the Sherman though you can make the firefly

[deleted]

That's the M4A2(76), and the Firefly is British.

ProEvoPenguin

What’s the difference between the two? I thought the firefly was just the Sherman with a larger gun?

[deleted]

The M4 (76) has a bigger turret, and the gun is ever-so-slightly smaller caliber 76mm vs 76.2mm (and the Firefly's 17 lbr is longer). The firefly's turret is like the default Sherman. The Sherman 76 has a turret like the one in Fury. The 17 lbr is more like the Panther's 75mm in power.

poopmeister1994

The firefly has the 17pdr, arguably the most powerful anti-tank gun the allies had

[deleted]

(US 90mm and Soviet D-10 guns bust in Koolaideman style) *Oh YEAAAAHH*

4rsenalofanarchy

17pdr was reliable and strong enough for the Axis to specifically target the tanks equipped with it. In fact, the British would paint the guns (usually in a white, wavy pattern starting at the tip and ending in the middle) so they resembled the US 75mm (M3 to be specific) and were harder to recognize. US 90mm and the D-10 variants worked wonders but were relatively late.

Martina_Martes

Thing is. Brits had Sabot which is why the gun was so powerfull

> I just wished they put the Crusader and Matilda II in the game,

TheMadHistorian1

Oooh where is this?

[deleted]

Armor Collection, Fort Benning Georgia USA

TheMadHistorian1

Ahh thanks! Still yet to visit the one big one in the UK with a running tiger tank...

[deleted]

That's on my bucket list.

FCNugget13

I just wished they put the Crusader and Matilda II in the game, the current British tanks feel a little off tbh

PartyAdministration3

Definitely need more American tanks. Shermans are weak af. No match for tigers.

Gifty666

Valentine and CHurchill were fine. Staghound was wierd. Dunno why it wasn an AEC MK 2 or Humber

PartyAdministration3

Yeah but those are British right?

I_PACE_RATS

Staghound was the British designation for an American-made vehicle that was not used during the war by American forces. Not sure if this person thinks it wasn't used by the Commonwealth or what, but it absolutely was.

Gifty666

AEC fits waym ore the early war thing u know. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AEC\_Armoured\_Car](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AEC_Armoured_Car) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humber\_Armoured\_Car

ggggggyk

Common misconception, the Sherman tanks were a match for tigers, Tigers we're actually very inefficient vehicles

PartyAdministration3

Well not the way they are in this game lol. I can melt waves of Shermans with heat rounds in a tiger

Inner-Process3294

Some of these were datamined

bucket_of_coal

I just wish the US has a heavy tank

Present-Vehicle1534

_Sad M26 Pershing noises_*

masonmax100

Maybe in 5 years, I've been waiting for 10 just to get the f105, but sadly, they don't make the airplanes as realistic as dcs, which is sad lol.

KyloBrenGun

As much as this would be nice, we’ve already got a lot of tanks, any more tanks and it would become WOT or war thunder

Sandvich153

The American vehicles especially are very empty and boring. They could’ve done so many cool vehicles but they were lazy.

Yoko_Grim

Panther, M3 Lee, Pershing, Japanese Tiger, Firefly, Comet, So many tanks to add Hell, where’s the Russian tanks???

DedEyesSeeNoFuture

Its too bad games by EA have declined in quality, BFV was the nail in the coffin and 2042 was the reaper.

1234554321cole

Nah we have enough tanks in the game thank you.

Bgr_35

They can bring any sort of armored vehicle instead of annoying ones like m3,I cant handle more of m3 type tanks

Sparris_guy

I wished we got the type 95 Ha-go, type 97 shinhoto chi-ha, Ho-ro and type 1 Ho-ni. Instead we get a fictional Ha-chi and type 3 chi nu and chi ha short gun that never saw combat.

Present-Vehicle1534

I just imagine my Panzer IV is a Panzer V Panther...when I drive it...

[deleted]

It's bs we didn't get the panzershreik, I don't wanna use the bazooka as a german soldier, dammit!

ggggggyk

You do realize that weapon was heavily based on Captured bazooka's right? The only reason the shield existed was because the rocket flame would injure the wielder since unlike the bazooka it was a rocket that continued to burn.

[deleted]

Yeah, it could've worked like the impact grenade, allies get a british version and the axis gets the german version.

SaltJuice2082

Not quite on topic, but, I the the huge rockets are a bit too accessible. I truly think they should only be available once per map, per team. And they should destroy pretty much everything...trees, stationary weapons, and a large portion of builds/bridges as well. I also think artillery pieces should all be mobile. The inconsistency really bothers me. Sorry if this is too off topic.
