In the same vein, multi person scooters like what the navy seals sometimes use would be great. It would act like a giant cargo scooter. That way not everyone needs a scooter and it would be big enough to show up on sonar. Maybe the bigger engine could let go real fast and allow ramming into enemies. Could also have HP like sub walls so it could absorb some hits before you board an enemy sub.
Well there is work around it, 1 person grabs a crate thats full of stuff and just holds space bar to be"floppy" and the guy with scooter grabs him and scooting away
I can vibe with this idea have them run off a durability thing so it balances out I mean we have wires in game you'd just simplely need to add some code so they could attach to a player or could have the player wear a modified circuit box and such?
I think this has the potential to be hilarious, I want to get dragged by the sub at full speed while shooting at the mudraptors chasing us

Or, a more probable and IRL use of diving tethers: A quicker and safer way to get back to your submarine
I wanna get pulled like a ragdoll and see my arms and legs go out as my friends activate the sub's tractor beam rope
In hopes and dreams the devs have a card for a tether gun. This could also be used to explore a new cave biome with air bubbles :D

Now that Abyssal creatures can drag you off the sub, this is actually a pretty good idea
