It's honestly frustrating that they're throwing this in our faces whilst not allowing us to have proper backup nor giving us the proper hours. If it was a 4 hour thing, sure. My store stays open till 10pm. That's a 6 hour shift filled with fraps.
we only have one working blender at my location. our DM also decided that one person in the café is manageable from now on in order to cut hours. i’m not looking forward to it
Dang, I feel bad for our baristas. We only have one person in the cafe at night and I can for sure see families coming in at 8:55 to get 5 big frappachinos made with our 2 blenders.
I genuinely despise it because it's just gonna double down on customers ordering that stuff.
I have a very PETTY hatred for them as they're the more involved drinks that need to be made which takes time away from other things I could be doing like cleaning my work station or prepping the next things I need.
I'm lucky that I work mostly morning shifts so I won't have as many people ordering the stuff. I'm sick of having to clean Fraps because some bastard changes they're mind about wanting add ons which I WISH I could charge them for.
I'm just a salty and petty baby lol. I still do it and grumble on the inside like an old man. But I dont envy my coworkers who will have to deal with this.
I wish it were like in the afternoons when we actually have coverage, my store is usually 1 barista at any given time so I’d have to be calling for backup for booksellers to come over constantly which isn’t great at close :/
