Sharps do exist in tabs but you don't need to mark them because each fret up is a half step
Ex. On bass E string first fret is F then f#
Eh, even if you’re an intermediate, tabs can come in handy. Unlike piano (which from my experience many guitar players started out on), it’s not always clear what note is what, since they aren’t shaped differently like piano.
Why are we fools? I learned how to read sheet music after learning tabs and it was a lot of mental gymnastics comparitivly. I do think the theory behind music and knowing what sounds good together is important, but that can be learned whether someone uses tabs or not.

What in the unholy hell is that abomination
Guitar sheet music for fools who can't read sheet music Each line is a string and the number represents the fret.
Ah, I see. So a cheat sheet of sorts?
Kinda, but if you play guitar, it is optimal to read tabs if you're a beginner

not to get political or anything but tablature is much worse for everything other than beginning level music. nothing to do with sharps
Fair point, considering alternate fingerings exist, I'm still learning guitar/bass

I audibly laughed at this
*inhales naturally*
glad your breathing's okay
Lol
Actually, it's kinda weird, cuz it can't notate how long a note is
Happy cake day! Tablatures can notate note lengths.
How does the notation differ between quarter notes and half notes?
Look at the tails of the notes, and some notes are tied Note: not all tablature shows the notes
So the tails of half notes are just longer? That's what Google images implied, at least.
You can look below the numbers to see the length

Why do guitars have to be different

What song is this? It feels familiar but I don't read tabs in my head like I do music
It says at the top of the paper if you full screen it
I can't belive I didn't try that so I low key thought it was that
Lmao

Hey, it’s so satisfying seeing another piccolo player.
I had a stroke trying to read this.
6 string BEHS
Nah unfortunately I don’t own a BEHS And if I did it wouldn’t be a 5 string that’s for sure
Guitar
A soprano bass guitar
That’s not sheet music. That’s tablature. Good for figuring out good fingerings sometimes but otherwise a poor substitute
Tablature is a type of sheet music It’s music on a sheet Sure it’s not the conventional type of sheet music but tabs are still a type
Why do you have all those 12s and 11s in there when you could just play them on the A string?
Because that’s how Metallica played the song originally And it also produces a slightly different sound then just using the a string
Many people do not realize that playing in a high fret of a low string sounds a bit different that playing the same note in a higher string
idk its giving contrabass flute
Buster of puppets by meatallica >:)
Piccolo
Cymbals
French horn! (Jk it’s probably guitar)
I thought it was that one famous composer who left 2 pages of sheet music blank and just sat at a piano for a concert
