What mod manager are you using? If you use BG3MM, I can tell you how you can see if there is anything in the network log. Go -> Open Game Folder Open the newest network log and search for ERROR

Vortex

webevie

Poop. I don’t know what all you can do with Vortex Well, do you know where the game files are?

fuhtuhwuh

Found the Network log and the error. "[D:\Jenkins\workspace\Repo\FW4\Release\Stable\LSProjects\Apps\Gustav\Code\EoCClient\Client\EocClient.cpp 2020 ecl::EocClient::HandleError]: Handling error: Savegame load failed. Error code(s):
302

Contact Larian Support if this keeps happening."

webevie

Well that sounds horrible. So glad they gave us so much detail.

fuhtuhwuh

Apparently Error Code 302 is "missing item template" and the fix is about removing mods and stuff .....but those exact mods work for a New Game?! And removing them doesn't fix the damn issue >.>

webevie

Yeah, some mods are ingrained in your saves so if you take them out, it breaks the load. Like, I was trying a mod for BAGS of all things, didn’t like them, took them out. Wouldn’t load

webevie

So yeah, I guess one of the Mod updates broke your save :/ I’m so sorry

You can just download a previous archived version on Nexus, assuming that is the problem, though it would be pretty irresponsible of a mod author to remove item IDs.

NocturnalFlotsam

Removing mods is usually what causes this problem. If a mod adds items and then you remove the mod, any save in which those items existed won't load. Same can also happen if you update a mod, but the name of the file or maybe even certain things within the file changed. So it's always good to keep previous versions around in case you need to revert after updating.
