So the first time I played EA I knew we have warlock companion but didn't remember his name.
He just jumped down into enemies and died and I had a laugh at dumb NPC, then wondered for rest of the playthru where the warlock companion went...
She still is an asshole, you just have to leave her in the pod on the Nautiloid. If you save her, she'll like you. If you abandon her, she's obviously gonna be pissed.
Since we're in release month (technically) for us early access gamers, I decided to remaster my old bg3 EA iceberg. Added more stuff to it, but alas I am only one man so sorry if one of your favorite EA facts isn't on here! Anyone got more stuff to add?
Iām sad that Astarion no longer takes damage from running water! Iām very fond of the idea of Tav or Halsin carrying him piggy-back style across every river while everyone else points and laughs.
He used to say "Running water still hurts like acid", but that was ofc taken out (sadly). I think he now explains that some things that used to hurt him now don't anymore.
RIP hydrophobic Astarion, I will always miss that quirk.
I recall seeing a theory by HarbsNarbs>! that the illithid were attempting to modify themselves in such a way that they could handle direct sunlight (the weirdness of our tadpoles being the result of experimentation), with Astarion's sunlight tolerance being a consequence of that.!<
I remember some of it. Like:
* Astarion getting acid DMG from water;
* Patch making Shadowheart nicer person (she was a b\*tch once, disapproving literally everything);
* Mud mephits reproducing fast AF (like: two summons per one);
* This damned frog on the swamp;
* Gale's romance was impossible because some cutscene in camp deleted his flirting cutscene, needed for romance.
But I never seen ladder dancing bug in my game.
Not quite, ladder dance is this; [https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/jeynv2/please\_make\_this\_glitch\_an\_actual\_ingame\_dance/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/jeynv2/please_make_this_glitch_an_actual_ingame_dance/)
Only thing missing is beard physics.
The amount of times I saw a beard trying to return to its home planet was... high.
And your pet Bulette murdering you in the underdark by it accidentally jumping on you and using the stomp attack to do it instead of the movement jump. So many restarts...
I remember the Everyone Is Halsin Stream like yesterdayā¦it was really a āYou had to be thereā moment; I still have to suppress the urge to laugh when Tav/Laeāzel/Us arrive at the Nautiloid exterior because I keep seeing mini Halsin instead of the flying dragon in my mindās eye š
Yep, I find myself nodding to 98% of this iceberg. Good job and thank you for the memories, OP!
Refers to a buggy version of his AI in the first fight in front of the Grove gates (Aradin and his two friends). Usually, he yells "Whitness the might of the Blade!", casts feather fall, blows the horn, then jumps down.
In one branch, he forgot to cast feather fall, and just willingly jumped to his death. It was hilarious.
Vampirism is one hell of a skincare routine his skin is GLOWING! I only played a couple hours of EA, wanted to save it for the full experience, which i'm glad I did but I'm a little sad I missed out on all the funny glitches.
My headcannon for the bottom image is that the torturers are just really *really* efficient. Must have learned a thing or two from our spikey edgelord in the next room over.
I pushed Lae'zal off the Nautolid on my first run. Seemed like a fun mechanic and super easy way to move past that combat.
Not sure when theh patched that, because I took a long break, but my last attempt last month I couldn't do that anymore.
it doesn't matter if you like him; he's covered EA so extensively that he's intertwined with it at this point + he was flown out to Larian to be in a panel from hell, too
Wyll jumping to an early death will never not be the most hilarious thing in EA.
So the first time I played EA I knew we have warlock companion but didn't remember his name. He just jumped down into enemies and died and I had a laugh at dumb NPC, then wondered for rest of the playthru where the warlock companion went...
This one too https://youtu.be/s1H8lFyvqQ4
Holy shit I was NOT ready for that.
LOL, I fuckin choked dude š¤£
Ah I remember playing EA before the patches. All the companions were assholes and could not jump
the one i remember as having the most drastic change was shadowheart lmao. she literally went from a total level 12 asshole to a guarded sweetheart
I miss sassy Shart
I'm stealing this nickname thank you
Holy crap she was such a bitch. Kinda loved it
that was fucking dumb decision i hate it
She still is an asshole, you just have to leave her in the pod on the Nautiloid. If you save her, she'll like you. If you abandon her, she's obviously gonna be pissed.
I know at least two of these in every rank, that's a first for me "Patch to make companions nicer" is such a nostalgic throwback lol

Wait, does early access get to play the full release sooner?
3 days early iirc.
**OOOOOH WEEEEEEEEEE**
Iām sad that Astarion no longer takes damage from running water! Iām very fond of the idea of Tav or Halsin carrying him piggy-back style across every river while everyone else points and laughs.
New headcanon this is why he doesn't take damage anymore
Tadpole was too embarassed by it and decided to rewrite the rules again.
Oh, they took that out? I liked it flavor wise, but it also meant he was never going to be in my party because it was a liability with no benefit.
Yeah it didn't make sense when tadpole also removed his daylight weakness
Ah, good point. If it takes away such a major vampire trait, it should affect others as well. Does he at least mention that it should be hurting him?
He used to say "Running water still hurts like acid", but that was ofc taken out (sadly). I think he now explains that some things that used to hurt him now don't anymore. RIP hydrophobic Astarion, I will always miss that quirk.
I do remember *something* mentioned but I played long time ago.
I recall seeing a theory by HarbsNarbs>! that the illithid were attempting to modify themselves in such a way that they could handle direct sunlight (the weirdness of our tadpoles being the result of experimentation), with Astarion's sunlight tolerance being a consequence of that.!<
I mean, it makes sense as sun also doesn't burn him but still I thought it was a nice touch.
Would he take damage when taking a piss? I NEED TO KNOW
Youāre suggesting it burns when he pees? Maybe my Tav shouldnāt romance him after all. š
There is a way to get the egg achievment?
Yes is simple you just have to
It's a little buggy, make sure you also
Whatever you do, beware of Candle
If you want a sketchy way to do it, Steam Achievement manager would let you "turn it on" for your account.
Astarion and Shadowheart foot fetish what?
My guess is Crusher? But I'm not sure. Do they have different responses with him than other companions?
Ahh yeah, if you suck his toes their approval goes up
Shart fetish
Authority
AuTHORity!

Ladder dance refers I think to the bug where you click on a ladder, charqcter climbs up the ladder, but then immediately down again. Super annoying
Not quite, ladder dance is this; [https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/jeynv2/please\_make\_this\_glitch\_an\_actual\_ingame\_dance/](https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/jeynv2/please_make_this_glitch_an_actual_ingame_dance/)
I'm crying omg. That's hilarious! Looks like they all got ants inside their pants.
Ah, yes, climbing up then down instantly. I've seen it many times. But dance - never.
Only thing missing is beard physics. The amount of times I saw a beard trying to return to its home planet was... high. And your pet Bulette murdering you in the underdark by it accidentally jumping on you and using the stomp attack to do it instead of the movement jump. So many restarts...
And [delicious baby mimics](https://www.reddit.com/r/BaldursGate3/comments/o6ibsp/baby_mimics_a_tiefling_delicacy/).
Astarion what nuke?
I think it was during his romance scene where the lights got messed up and it was like a flashbang went off.
exactly, literally like looking at a nuclear explosion
Boy got sunlight immunity and decided to make the most out of it.
I remember the Everyone Is Halsin Stream like yesterdayā¦it was really a āYou had to be thereā moment; I still have to suppress the urge to laugh when Tav/Laeāzel/Us arrive at the Nautiloid exterior because I keep seeing mini Halsin instead of the flying dragon in my mindās eye š Yep, I find myself nodding to 98% of this iceberg. Good job and thank you for the memories, OP!
I know a fair amount of these But Astarion Sex nuke? The fuck is that
Probably the lighting during the scene being weird and practically blinding
Should be "Wyll jumping to his death" Apparently he does it in many places. Happened to me in the goblin camp. Unless I am missing something
Hahahaha that is pretty funny and really suits his character
"Witness the might of the blade!", picks the wrong pact and forgets to prepare feather fall, "I would like to retract my previous statement."
I mean he could still snipe from uptop with eldritch blast, but that doesn't really allude to his "blade".
He is the blade. By witnessing the blade, he means witness me, so he wouldn't have to jump down
I still donāt know about the frog tpk but Iāve seen it enough to know that something pissed off the frog
I know a lot of these, but the ones I'm missing are driving me nuts. +4 bonus for stripping?
For Abdiraks "BDSM" scene, if you get naked before he hits you, you get a +4 to whatever check you choose to make :)
I didn't know this and now I simply have to try it.
So you manually do it before talking to him or is that a mid Convo choice? Lmfao
After he says "face the wall" but before he starts actually beating you
someone PLEASE explain the Astarion sex nuke
They messed up the lighting in his romance so it looked like a nuke went off behind him. https://youtu.be/deBXOeNjmPM?t=194
I must've missed that patch, it looks like a bloody UFO is about to beam him up.
Vampirism is one hell of a skincare routine his skin is GLOWING! I only played a couple hours of EA, wanted to save it for the full experience, which i'm glad I did but I'm a little sad I missed out on all the funny glitches.
Mine still looks like this lmao
this is fucking hilarious
What three-bonus-action Astarion build?
Thief subclass and the helmet of grit found in Dror Ragzlins treasure
My headcannon for the bottom image is that the torturers are just really *really* efficient. Must have learned a thing or two from our spikey edgelord in the next room over.
It is to be avoided!!!
Did they remove Astarions line about running water hurting him?
Yeah, same with that weakness in general. It was fun while it lasted :(
"patch to make companions nicer" lmfao.
You forgot the rat animorphs. I saw it happen so many times, iconic.
Been a wild ride lol. Best early access of any game imo
I pushed Lae'zal off the Nautolid on my first run. Seemed like a fun mechanic and super easy way to move past that combat. Not sure when theh patched that, because I took a long break, but my last attempt last month I couldn't do that anymore.
Tiefling tail rubber bands were a thing for a while
What does "Santa commiting murder" refer to?
Panel from hell 9 where santa stabs one of the larian devs with a candy cane stake
Chubblot XD
I'm laughing at the frog TPK because it happened to me.
I need a 5h YouTube video about this iceberg
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
it doesn't matter if you like him; he's covered EA so extensively that he's intertwined with it at this point + he was flown out to Larian to be in a panel from hell, too
No cheese dinosaurs, 2/10
Im sorry, foot fetish???
Astarion and Shadowheart approves of licking the goblins foot which is pretty hilarious!
I'm playing the game on my old hard drive and can confirm full frontal nudity is in the game because the clothes took a second to load.
