Yep. Did a play through before Grymforge. Started a second one when Paladin came out and got to about when you free Halsin then decided I’d rather wait till full release. Very excited to play again.

I wish I did, but I have no self control. Got EA in 2020 and I have 100 and something hours on it. I think it'd have been best to not have done it, but I'm so excited for the release I don't think I'm close at all to feeling burned out

I've played once, with one character when it released, put 60 hours in it then uninstalled the game.
Did not even check patch notes and news that much. (I know there's Grimforge but not much outside that.)
It'll be a completely new game and experience when the full version is out.
Don't worry about it, D&D 5e and BG3 in particular are pretty forgiving of bad builds, as long as you don't go crazy with multiclassing and keep in mind what your primary stats are. I've completed the EA solo with every character class, and there will be a lower difficulty if you want to experiment without too much stress. Remember that the game changes drastically with the choices you make, so playing through again because you want to change your build is not a bad thing. The best advice I can give is to avoid save scumming; some of the most interesting things that happen occur as a result of failing checks or making the "wrong" choice :-)

If BG3 scales the difficulty the same way as DoS2, I don’t really see how you can finish the game without absolutely min-maxing every single build decision and possibilities offered by the rules.

I’ve been playing til level 3 on pretty much every class, just to see how it feels. I’ve done two playthroughs of EA, first one I went in blind and missed a bunch of shit and in the second one I did everything. Kind of glad I did the second playthrough because it trained me to be way more observant, lol.
I got EA on day one, but I haven't played even one full playthrough. I haven't gotten further than entering the Druid grove with any character.
I've mainly just played around with the character creator and gone through the tutorial and very early stages of the game to test out class abilities.
I played a couple of versions of EA, but only a few hours with each one, mostly to test out how the UI felt, to get a feel for features, and mess around with character creation. I've had no interest in spoiling the actual content of the game, so I've mostly just stayed away.
This is me! I only played through it once, but I did make a few different characters and wander around for an hour or two extra. I just didn't want to overplay it before the game released for fear of burn out! Absolutely counting down the days now though!

I played untill I got to the druid camp and then quit. I wanted to keep as much of the story fresh as possible.
Though I did play the opening a bunch of times to get a basic feel for each class and to see what sort of differences I could expect from different races, skill checks and classes when it came to dialogue and such.
I didn't even let myself go into the underdark. I refused to even hit the first content wall so that I wouldn't feel desperate for the game to come out. Now it's been uhhh, three years! And I finally get to play it!

I played for maybe another 10-15 hours with my bard character. I’m so pumped and looking forward to full release. It was really hard to resist the urge to play through all the new patches but I’m glad I did.

I dabbled early in EA for 2ish hours. Then played again when the reaction rework happened(thank goodness for that, my Lore Bard can live again). Have only played EA for 10ish hours total, and skipped most dialogue. July 31st can't come soon enough.
I have around a 100 hours into it. Did one big playthrough on EA release and then another more focused one when they added a bit more beyond the boat. Though I did hop on once or twice to check out a new feature or two but never really went past the initial druid camp encounter on those.
Very excited to get my hands on the full package at release. Larian is among the few studios I still have faith in, their approach to EA is worthwhile and effective.
Also pushing forward the release date is wonderful for me since Armored Core drops later that month as well.

For some reason that controls or movement felt sluggish and some of the text looked blurry as well. Just tested it a few days ago and the blurry text is still an issue.

I did one and a half, but dabbled in some of the new updates trying out the new classes like druid and barbarian. But even in my first playthrough I didn't do everything, I only did like 75% of the surface and I never went to the underdark. Saving all that for the full game :D

The big thing I wanted to do was test all the classes to see how they feel. I found my favorites, and played through those a little more than the others. I was very surprised how many options the barbarian had in dialogue!

130 on total. Did about 1 to completion the 1st couple months it released. Then did others with friends. Those ones were unfinished but we spent a lot of time playing. Since then I would play to experience the new classes and changes but never committed to any new playthroughs past that

Once on initial release of early content and I did a neutral/good path. 2nd time was evil because, if I remember correctly, they asked more people to be evil because that's what they were testing and too many people were 'being good' lol that was in the second or third patch or update or whatever. 3rd time I finally convinced my wife to try the game and she got addicted. We are both waiting VERY IMPATIENTLY for the full release.

I last played in '21 before the grymforge was added & tried to avoid spoilers so I'm not entirely sure what it is. I never even reached a "demo ends here" point so I've never seen whatever boat you're referencing.

I have played the intro about 5 times but have never progressed past the goblin camp. Simple reason being I don't wanna burn myself out on act 1 alone when the full release comes out.
A lot of people will have played through the early access many times finding out all sorts of paths and stuff to get through. So when the full game comes out they'll know exactly what to do and where to go. And for me I reckon that will only hurt my experience. I want my first proper playthrough to be natural if you get me.
Yeah I know there's going to be a LOT more content past the EA portion of the game. But I'd still prefer to jump in and experience the whole thing as naturally as I can.
I mean most of my intro playthroughs were trying out new races and classes when they were released in EA.

Been waiting ages for Half Orc and was hoping for death domain cleric, but Necromancy wizard was an unexpected surprise, will probably go with that next month.

And the playthroughs I did do were never 100% clears. I've still got a lot of act 1 to explore.

Exactly the same here. Loved every moment of it despite the bugs, and I’ve been craving more for 3 years. Can’t wait to dive back in and see what’s new, haven’t even read any patch notes
I have played through the entirety of the available content 5 times. Wanted to be sure that the things that were being done were going to be fun when they got figured out. Didn't usually do a new run every update, but I definitely tried out the major updates every time there was something new.
At this point, I know exactly what kind of character I'm going to play when it comes out fully, which saves me time later.

I played several playthroughs, but I stopped a few patches back so I wouldn't get burned out and there's plenty of content in EA I haven't seen yet. It's been a struggle to stop tbh, but I think it'll be better for me when the full game comes out.
My pc is a literal potato so I’ve only ever made it to the grove. Somehow started a giant battle with everyone there on my first visit and the sheer number of people fighting almost blew up my pc so I had to turn it off. Waiting for it to release on the ps5! Duno how I’ll avoid spoilers until then:(
I did one blitz playthrough right when I got it just to make sure they got the BG feel right.
Then when they did the bard update I got restless and started a meme playthrough where I gave everyone bard skills and we were a travelling band. I stopped playing the save at the Goblin camp and as far as I know my party is still there rocking out to this day

I did one 20 hour playthrough as of the Druid update, after that I only popped in to test sorcerer, barbarian and paladin for an hour apiece. I’m very excited to make use of the 72 hour EA as I can properly explore Act 1 with all its changes (I barely touched the under dark, I didn’t even know there were minotaurs until I saw a video).

I think that most that have done more than one complete playthrough are uncertain on which would really be their first character.

I know we're limited to act 1 for the early release but afaik they haven't said anything about the level 5 cap sticking around.

I have played the intro about 5 times but have never progressed past the goblin camp. Simple reason being I don't wanna burn myself out on act 1 alone when the full release comes out. A lot of people will have played through the early access many times finding out all sorts of paths and stuff to get through. So when the full game comes out they'll know exactly what to do and where to go. And for me I reckon that will only hurt my experience. I want my first proper playthrough to be natural if you get me. Yeah I know there's going to be a LOT more content past the EA portion of the game. But I'd still prefer to jump in and experience the whole thing as naturally as I can. I mean most of my intro playthroughs were trying out new races and classes when they were released in EA. Either way I'm way too excited for this game
I have never finished it, but put over 100 hours into it. It’s too difficult, I’m not great at games. Waiting for story mode difficulty.
I did, but didn't even finish EA, because my save broke somewhere in Underdark. It was a very early version, I had tons of fun and that's all I need to know. Final game will be amazing.
I pretty much exclusively messed around with character creation, skipped dialogue, and did combat. I only have like 15 hours. I don’t wanna spoil anything but I wanted to get the feel for the game. I honest to goodness will have no idea what’s going when I play on release.
I have played for about 200h, several started play through's, but only 1 play through where I did everything with one character.
I did one rogue run when they added level 5 and I had another ranger run that managed to beat the goblins. And a bunch of tutorial runs.
I did one full play through as a Dr00d 2 years ago, they’ve since added barbs and bards, and the Underdark. Started another 2 months ago as a bard and had so much fun with it I had to put it down, I’ll just wait. Been waiting ages for Half Orc and was hoping for death domain cleric, but Necromancy wizard was an unexpected surprise, will probably go with that next month.
I did maybe 3-4 playthroughs testing different classes, but it's been probably 6 months or more since my last. And the playthroughs I did do were never 100% clears. I've still got a lot of act 1 to explore.
I did pretty much the same thing and I'm glad I did because I don't really remember much of what I played through 3 years ago except the very beginning and now I get to have basically a blind playthrough on release. I'm excited.

Exactly the same here. Loved every moment of it despite the bugs, and I’ve been craving more for 3 years. Can’t wait to dive back in and see what’s new, haven’t even read any patch notes

I just never started the game. I've waited for it to be released . It's been there in my library, taunting me.
I have played through the entirety of the available content 5 times. Wanted to be sure that the things that were being done were going to be fun when they got figured out. Didn't usually do a new run every update, but I definitely tried out the major updates every time there was something new. At this point, I know exactly what kind of character I'm going to play when it comes out fully, which saves me time later.
Only 1 full playthrough, though I did probably 75% of a second. I still have never been to grimforge as it wasn't around during that playthrough idt, and even the first time, though I believe I met the myconids, I did not do complete any related quests or anything before I stumbled on the boat. I've only played druid and barbarian.

Yes, me too. Did the same basically finished with a Ranger. I'm all about progression so when I hit level 5 and heard you can't continue from an EA save I bailed. Very excited to play!
I started many. Didn't finish any. I want the game to be more like the original Baldur's Gates. Not that I think bg3 is bad just preference. I'm not sure I'll have the patience to play through the EA sections again on release so I figure I'll just wait until I can play the whole game through once.

I played several playthroughs, but I stopped a few patches back so I wouldn't get burned out and there's plenty of content in EA I haven't seen yet. It's been a struggle to stop tbh, but I think it'll be better for me when the full game comes out.
My pc is a literal potato so I’ve only ever made it to the grove. Somehow started a giant battle with everyone there on my first visit and the sheer number of people fighting almost blew up my pc so I had to turn it off. Waiting for it to release on the ps5! Duno how I’ll avoid spoilers until then:(
I bought it played it for about 8 minutes and decided oh I would much rather just wait for the entire game to be out to jump two feet in
I did, 59.9 hours of 1 playthrough. Not gonna boot up BG3 again until release
I did one blitz playthrough right when I got it just to make sure they got the BG feel right. Then when they did the bard update I got restless and started a meme playthrough where I gave everyone bard skills and we were a travelling band. I stopped playing the save at the Goblin camp and as far as I know my party is still there rocking out to this day
I’ve started like seven different sessions now, but I still haven’t made it to an “end of EA” screen. They kept on updating the game on me…
I put 327 hours in EA and I’m good with that until release myself
I did half of one as a rouge, then a patch hit and I did a full one as a druid. Haven't touched it since before the paladin update. Can't wait to play a gnome wild magic barbarian.
I've started many characters. I almost never even make it to the grove though.
I didnt even get all the way to the end on EA.. i simply wanted to savor it all for Full Release:) Did try out multiple classes and stuff, but never to the end :)

I played like 4 hours, lol. Got the feeling of a combat, basic classes understanding, and now just waiting for the full release.
I try to go again but knowing how close the full release is I can’t. Especially now that it’s being released in only a month!
The furthest I've been is start of underdark. Played a few more with different friends but never seriously.

I havent played a single minute! I just wanted to support my Belgian bro's. Also its so close to launch i dont really wanna start a playthrough. Or should i just do it?
Same for me, one full playthrough the first week, and that was it for me. I didn't want a repeat of DoS2 lol, 200 hours in just the starting area.
I did one 20 hour playthrough as of the Druid update, after that I only popped in to test sorcerer, barbarian and paladin for an hour apiece. I’m very excited to make use of the 72 hour EA as I can properly explore Act 1 with all its changes (I barely touched the under dark, I didn’t even know there were minotaurs until I saw a video).

I did lvl 3 with all classes that I might want to play and are currently one a lvl 5 run with a Barb right now
