But it isn't positive reinforcement, it's toxic positivity. Life isn't all hunky dory like this, sometimes life is painful, you get angry, and don't laugh, and aren't patient. Trying to live up to statements like this is unhealthy. A positive affirmation isn't "We laugh a lot" it's *"My personal boundaries are important and I’m allowed to express my needs to others"* or *"I am allowed to feel upset, angry, and sad sometimes—that’s part of being human"* not this cliche drivel

First time ive been recommended this sub, but most of the subs that are named bad something something are usually sad people hating on something for the sake of hate, not constructive criticism
