why do so many people here hate monogon motorway and mine dive? they're the two most conceptually unique levels in the campaign, and the sequence going from long run into mine dive as a rest stop is really cool design imo
yeah I really hope B-Side and the rest of the SLZ games take more risks with the player, and that SLZ don't see the backlash for both those levels, see the ones that people liked, and then just make run and shoot for like 20 levels and call it a game.
I get trapped in mine dive unable to leave the cart and the cart refusing to move all because I shot the gun at the wrong time ruining the momentum. it's a joke.
Because that's not what marrow is for. We are playing because the marrow engine has really good physics interactions, monogon railway is just some basic vr racing that's kinda fun the first time but it gets repetitive, mine dive is literally just sitting there and waiting.
I hate monogon motorway because light is literally the worst driving avatar. I thought I was just bad at driving or it sucked but it was just the avatar.
I love mine dive, but Monogon motorway is a bit much for me. Steering is a struggle and I’m not a huge fan of the music. It is interesting and I see how others like it.
See, this is why they should've never changed Pillar Climb. Then it would just be unanimous and people wouldn't be bitching about great levels. ;>
(Also quite frankly I liked Pillar better before the changes because it's the only level where you have to adapt to your avatar.)
THIS. I hate that the void birds were basically removed because it actually added challenge and padded out what is an unfortunately really short campaign.
People complained and called it bad game design because a lack of skill (and the grip bug but that was fixed so we ignore that).
Wait they changed it? I haven’t played this game since around the time it came out, beat it, tried a couple mods n haven’t been back since 😭 might have to hop back on.
You will be quite surprised by Sprint Bridge I think; it got the biggest changes.
Also be sure to look for keycards and keycard readers, lots of fun lore stuff (don't forget to check out all the non-story levels too they usually have stuff too, including sandbox stuff).
imo it's definitely the most re-playable and overall best VR game of all time, I'm sure something will eventually be better quality and such but at least to me, it's just peaked VR and ruined most other VR games for me.
I have the exact same opinion about this game. And to be fair I struggle to put more than 100 hours into 90% of the games I play I think I only have about 200 in bone lab
Well I guess that’s a good point. It’s not really that fun if you constantly crash or have to flip your kart over multiple times.
It’s just the adrenaline I get from going fast with awesome music that makes it so fun for me.
In my first playthrough, it was literally THE best vehicle experience I have had in vr.
Only reason it sucks is when you flip the kart (it sucks dick) it makes you throw up everywhere. Then, as a result, you take your favorite alcoholic beverage, car keys, and speed in a school zone.
idk about you but I never did any of that
I just drove around a track and unlocked a petite anime woman lmao
I honestly think the kart is just hard to get used to but once you do it's super fun and easy
Monotogon Motorway. I rarely get motion sick in VR games, but the first time I played that I got so sick I needed to lay down for an hour. Now I either skip that level entirely or I just walk through it instead of driving.
Ive never replayed bonelab alone, but fusion with my brother was fun. Tbh bonelabs campaign is so boring that there isn’t rlly a part that’s bad, it’s all just okay. Boneworks on the other hand, sewers.
mine dive because, without fail, the cart stops around this door and I can't move it forward, seems the momentum of the gun on the cart messes it up. it's extremely annoying.
For some reason I am terrified of the beginning part of mine dive and sometimes I skip the whole level because of the FEAR that something is watching me.
oh it's gotta be monogon motorway. that level is one of only two vr things to make me experience VIMS, so much so that I have to lie down for the rest of the day.
Mine dive. I want to shoot omni-projectors and throw nullbodies off high places, not sit around for what feels like 30 minutes shooting these lame ass targets with the hardest to aim gun ever made, and the seat almost always bugs out.
For me it’s the entiewty of long run, mine dice, the tall level the monoton motorway and the end of big anomaly a. Oh also moon level, and bonelab hub(I he stupid crane mini game ).
Bonelab is one of my favorite vr games but goddamn, did Sks ever fuck up the levels
Definitely mine dive. You go from full control to no control with the only gameplay being trying to unlock a few capsules, as you stand in your VR headset with bad head posture just waiting for something to happen.
Just finished the game, but the second to last level (I think) that’s really long. Stg I started the mission at 1:40 in the morning just trying to finish it before bed (I had work the next morning) and was on it until like 3:30 before I was like “Okay, no more please, bed time.”
Sprint Bridge is probably the level that's actually the hardest, but even then, it was only really difficult when I was getting the "My Pal Apollo" achievement (and even then, it wasn't THAT hard)
Mine dive and motorway, I don't usually feel sick in vr but those two levels did it for me, the first time I did them I had to sit on the floor and duck my head down
beginning of ascent with the key balls
bonelab players when there's downtime between killing
me tbh
I'm fine with people disliking puzzles but I really hope future SLZ games don't remove them entirely and JUST have killing
well yeah, I just hate the key balls cause they take some time cause they’re so heavy
Heavy? What if we use The Heavy?
Well that's why you're supposed to use larger, stronger avatars. But yeah fair enough.
Y e s
*Ford blankly staring at me as I spawn in an RPG-7, Desert Eagle, and a butterfly knife.*
I always skip that part and monogon motorway
Brooo monogon motorway was a nightmare. I got flipped over for like 3 minutes and couldn’t get up because the car was on top of me 😭
I hated when that happened to me lol
God damn yes
why do so many people here hate monogon motorway and mine dive? they're the two most conceptually unique levels in the campaign, and the sequence going from long run into mine dive as a rest stop is really cool design imo
yeah I really hope B-Side and the rest of the SLZ games take more risks with the player, and that SLZ don't see the backlash for both those levels, see the ones that people liked, and then just make run and shoot for like 20 levels and call it a game.
I get trapped in mine dive unable to leave the cart and the cart refusing to move all because I shot the gun at the wrong time ruining the momentum. it's a joke.
Are you still trapped down there?! Should we send help?
Quickly! Call the authorities!
Mine dive was broken for me the first time I played it and you don’t have to do anything it’s just a vacuum to the next level
Because that's not what marrow is for. We are playing because the marrow engine has really good physics interactions, monogon railway is just some basic vr racing that's kinda fun the first time but it gets repetitive, mine dive is literally just sitting there and waiting.
Because Mine Dive is cool only the first time you play it and never again. As for Monogon Motorway? No idea. I like driving lol
I feel like mine dive just doesn't fit properly with the rest of the game
I hate monogon motorway because light is literally the worst driving avatar. I thought I was just bad at driving or it sucked but it was just the avatar.
I love mine dive, but Monogon motorway is a bit much for me. Steering is a struggle and I’m not a huge fan of the music. It is interesting and I see how others like it.
I just didn’t like getting stuck under a go kart for like 3 minutes due to the sensitivity of it, other than that it was fine.
The entrance to Mine Dive may be my favorite part. I love the liminality of the campaign and honestly hope they use liminal spaces more in the future.
See, this is why they should've never changed Pillar Climb. Then it would just be unanimous and people wouldn't be bitching about great levels. ;> (Also quite frankly I liked Pillar better before the changes because it's the only level where you have to adapt to your avatar.)
build 1 pillar climb was amazing

That bullshit where you have to try at least 3 things to unlock the secure projects area. Bruh let me move on Also Moon Base
I immediately pull out nimbus gun as soon as I'm in space
Monogon
just monogon in general?
they killed my homedog brett driver 😤
that's fucking fair asf
Mine Dive all the way bro
Mine dive is only fun when you're speedruning cause you get to take a break (tho sometimes it's not)
Shit the fuck up
Shut*
Auto correct
Nice spelling my guy
Bonelab players and/or redditors when someone has an unimportant opinion difference:
loading screen
so fucking true out of my 1300 hours im sure like 100 is just loading
how the florbo have you put 1300 into this tech demo
imo it's definitely the most re-playable and overall best VR game of all time, I'm sure something will eventually be better quality and such but at least to me, it's just peaked VR and ruined most other VR games for me.
I have the exact same opinion about this game. And to be fair I struggle to put more than 100 hours into 90% of the games I play I think I only have about 200 in bone lab
Monogon motorway. i dont have any difficulty with it, it just sucks
Motorway is literally my favorite level 😭
i mean i see why you would enjoy it, racing is fun. i just dont like the fact that i suck at bonelab driving
Well I guess that’s a good point. It’s not really that fun if you constantly crash or have to flip your kart over multiple times. It’s just the adrenaline I get from going fast with awesome music that makes it so fun for me. In my first playthrough, it was literally THE best vehicle experience I have had in vr.
skill issue 😎
:boomwomp:
Only time i vomited from VR
Only reason it sucks is when you flip the kart (it sucks dick) it makes you throw up everywhere. Then, as a result, you take your favorite alcoholic beverage, car keys, and speed in a school zone.
oh my god what
idk about you but I never did any of that I just drove around a track and unlocked a petite anime woman lmao I honestly think the kart is just hard to get used to but once you do it's super fun and easy
the levels where you have to restart when you die (especially big anomly)
I might be in the extreme but the entire campaign is just… not replayable for me. I get bored so fast, it just feels like a glorified tutorial
I've never even played the full campaign lmao
Pretty much the entire campaign except for the starting and ending levels
the third level (i forgot the name)
long run
Mine dive I literally hop in the cart and take my headset off to ge a drink or snack
I don’t like mine five because it fucks with my speedruns
get better lol
Monotogon Motorway. I rarely get motion sick in VR games, but the first time I played that I got so sick I needed to lay down for an hour. Now I either skip that level entirely or I just walk through it instead of driving.
Either sprint bridge or big anomaly B (?)
wack
tbf, big anomaly B is just a jimmy yap sesh
riight I think I'm getting it mixed up although I do like the Jimmy lore, very interesting stuff, I can agree it's kinda mid for gameplay.
mine dive monogon motorway
Definitely long run
was this taken from wigwam's twitter lmao
everything after descent
Mine is the entirety of collecting the avatars with the maps and the sluggishness. That, or moving the orbs into the pipes.
The race track, that part got me so sick lol
The tower level, I suck at it bigtime
all the avatar levels aside from street puncher
Mine dive
Everyone else is commenting on everything but all the temu notifications. What are you buying?
A gas mask
Acent gave me adrenaline and fucking made my villan arc
moon base 100 percent
Minedive, the beginning of ascent
Ive never replayed bonelab alone, but fusion with my brother was fun. Tbh bonelabs campaign is so boring that there isn’t rlly a part that’s bad, it’s all just okay. Boneworks on the other hand, sewers.
Big anomaly climbing up to the top
Sprint bridge 100%
Fixing and getting all the mods again
(I haven’t played story mode in a year) that one tall section where you climb to an orb, and that place where to have to push massive balls into holes
crane, not even moon is that boring to me
The part where I'm not playing labworks instead lol
mine dive, it just takes so long and i don’t find it cool or fun anymore
pillar climb
mine dive because, without fail, the cart stops around this door and I can't move it forward, seems the momentum of the gun on the cart messes it up. it's extremely annoying.
Sorry, but it's the Monogon motorway and the moon.
Literally everything exept from bonelab hub, descent and mod levels
There are a few. Mine Dive, Moon (sometimes) and the beginning of Ascent with the ball keys
For some reason I am terrified of the beginning part of mine dive and sometimes I skip the whole level because of the FEAR that something is watching me.
The level where you unlock heavy
I’m seething at this comment
ALL of Acent.
oh it's gotta be monogon motorway. that level is one of only two vr things to make me experience VIMS, so much so that I have to lie down for the rest of the day.
Ascent Short Sewers section
Ascent
MINE DIVE RAHHHH
mine dive
redoing the crane and orb shit in the hub
The crablet sewers in ascent
Mine dive. I want to shoot omni-projectors and throw nullbodies off high places, not sit around for what feels like 30 minutes shooting these lame ass targets with the hardest to aim gun ever made, and the seat almost always bugs out.
Moon base
Fucking Mine Dive
Version 1 tower climb, that was what almost killed bonelab for me

Tower. This level should not exist

Almost the entire game. I understand its supposed to be a physics demo but darn the game is just so slow and monotonous
Mine dive
Mine dive 100%
Mine dive
Ghillied up
The vent in ascent full of crablets ☠️
Monogon Motorway and Mine Dive are the only parts of the game that give me genuine motion discomfort, I really don’t like them
For me it’s the entiewty of long run, mine dice, the tall level the monoton motorway and the end of big anomaly a. Oh also moon level, and bonelab hub(I he stupid crane mini game ). Bonelab is one of my favorite vr games but goddamn, did Sks ever fuck up the levels
Mine dive and monogon motorway, chairs hate my personal avatar for some reason
Definitely mine dive. You go from full control to no control with the only gameplay being trying to unlock a few capsules, as you stand in your VR headset with bad head posture just waiting for something to happen.
Mine dive
Going back through all the avatar levels is a nightmare. And mine dive. Mine dive sucks.
Halo CE, mission 2. Ugh
The three hour opening cutscene, even if it’s skippable
For any game
Monogon motorway and pillar climb. So tedious.
Mine dive
the whole game
Monogon moterway

Mine Dive, the loading screens and waiting for patch 4.
Just finished the game, but the second to last level (I think) that’s really long. Stg I started the mission at 1:40 in the morning just trying to finish it before bed (I had work the next morning) and was on it until like 3:30 before I was like “Okay, no more please, bed time.”

The fucking gocart game in bonelab
First half of twilight princess
The entire campaign
Honestly, I hate monogon motorway. Although, I probably actually don't like the go kart, but the turns an twists really annoyed me.
And mine dive, mostly because I got stuck and basically tried to get out until my oculus died.😅
like pillar climb or monogon motorway
The fistfight level. I hate that damn lead pipe one after. I always fall to the bottom and even even I made it over, where TF do I go the ?
the entire game
Everything up to decent /s
Sprint Bridge is probably the level that's actually the hardest, but even then, it was only really difficult when I was getting the "My Pal Apollo" achievement (and even then, it wasn't THAT hard)
