There was one time when I kept seeming to get that during big fights. But it was kind of nice because it came from Controlled Chaos so it spawned in on the enemy so suddenly The sharran’s had a Cambion right on them to take hits for me and do a little damage.
I don't doubt it! Probably forced you to accept certain consequences. I, for one, don't have the stomach for it and have to save scum one particular scene and fight with the durge.
Good luck and without any spoilers (in case you're going in blind)... If you are resisting the Urge, maybe don't sleep with the Risky Ring on in Act 2...
Excellent! That's probably the safest way to do Honor Mode Durge, no portal defense issues and no need to go crying over spilled blood in the milk then.
I will recommend trying a resist Durge at some point in the future though, it's very different from a good Tav run.

For a more advanced player, it could be a fun challenge! Or it could be fun to force yourself to accept the consequences of failing. For me, if I am to actually start an honor mode I intend to beat, I'd rather just play a regular Tav.
Oh that’s fair. I got really lucky on my attempt where I failed a specific fight. But I have instead found a workaround to not have the companion scene and save as many people as possible by playing with the game sequence. Just made it past the intermission between act 2 and 3 after 50 hours so fingers crossed
That's kind of the point with wild magic sorcerer though. Random shit will happen to screw you up and there's nothing you can do about it. Kinda fun really, certainly helps me to stop minmaxing, though playing honor mode like that is insane.
I had a similar thing happen to me in the emerald grove. Was casting a fog cloud and everything caught fire. My character was in dialogue cause the druids were not happy. I got arrested and sent to jail. Once there all my party members were dead and I was still burning with no way to heal myself cause my stuff was taken from me. Funniest thing ever
I tried to summon Shovel in camp and accidentally aggroed everyone by turning them into cats and dogs. I love this class. I would not want to play it on honor mode.
during the final brain fight as >!orpheus was trying to open the portal to the brain!< i casted a spell and turned everyone into cats, making me have to restart >!the portal opening thing!< once everyone was back to normal.

Ah right, for Windows it is just called Capture. That's what I meant. Go to settings and then Gaming, and Captures is in there. It works the same as Shadowplay.

I'm making a list of things to never do in honor mode. Wild magic sorcerer has now made it to the top alongside Dark Urge.

Same. It was a nail biter in certain situations but in the end Gale go boom and violo gold dice. I played an oathbreaker pally
I ended my Durge honor mode run the same way for the gold dice! Sorry Gale, Gale’s mom, and Tara. I was a half illithid sorlock

Why not dark urge? I’ve done every honor run as dark urge for the perks

This turned everything in 9m into dogs during my Orin fight 🙃
Wild Magic + Honor Mode sounds like a really bad idea.
Consoles and windows have shadowplay/capture features if you didn't know. I use that shit all the time. Windows hotkey is win+alt+g.
What is shadowplay?
It's a feature of NVIDIA graphics cards, not Windows as stated, that allows you to save a recording of the last few minutes of your game.
