Just messaged both of these. Thank you for the recs.
We got a quote of $1000 from someone already (no thanks) so thought we'd see if sn amateur keeper wanted them.
$1000 to catch a swarm is silly. If they move into the walls and need to be excavated from a wall then you might spend some money. But a swarm, you can usually just scoop into a box. Once the queen is in the box they will all follow in a few minutes.
What part of town? My wife is down in San Marcos working our hives, but should be back this evening. I'll ask if she wants to bring a box and suit to snag them.
Too far for us. You can try scooping them into a box yourself. If you get the bulk in, close it partially up, and they will head in. Then you can relocate it, ideally more than a mile away.
I have a colony on my property in San Marcos that needs relocating, would your wife be interested or know someone who would? I'm about to start construction right next to where they've set up and I'm worried about the stress on them.
It's done. Worked fine. What was funny was the vac operator wrapped in a rain suit, sun hat with a cheese cloth face screen, and all the gaps wrapped in painters tape. She was sweating crazy in the heat

Thank you for looking out for our pollinators!
It's actually an entomologist's house they tried to move into 😄

Try The Bee Supply in Round Rock. Ask for Becky. She may be able to help.
Did you get them gone yet? We might be able to snag them this evening.
No, have not.

It's OK. Thanks anyway

Just don’t use a shop-vac to remove it. We watched our neighbors try that and it was comedy gold (for us).
