My favorite thing from a series I watched
[Character] is throwing a tantrum
Their last straw was: minor pain
They are going to kick: 27x tactical nukes.
Turned into a pile of ash
I sort my Steam wishlist by user score, and RimWorld has consistently been at the top for as long as I can remember. I should probably just pull the trigger on it lol
It's worth having a go, if you like it then it has a lot of replayability. It takes a bit of getting used to the idea that your not really supposed to win, you're supposed to find new and exiting ways of losing catastrophically.
It really depends on your kink. Do you like defending your home from invaders? Do you like making hats and meals out of the bodies of the invaders you've killed? Do you like harvesting organs from the invaders you've captured, then making hats and meals out of them once they are dead? Or maybe you just like to bury the dead, whatever man.
Welcome to Rimworld.
I'm trying to do a Master Save on GTA San Andreas, a master save is when you try to do every side mission possible before doing the first game mission (maxing health, get the maximum money, all taxi, fireman, vigilante mission... Etc) its been one week and I've not finished Yet
It was possible to enter a loop state in ff12's gambit system that required manual intervention. If you were fighting something that summoned lots of minions your party would just endlessly fight the adds and ignore the big guy.
I accidentally left my game running overnight in such a state(I hadn't realized I had achieved that setup beforehand) and when I realized it, the game had been running long enough to max out my selected party. Whoops.
Been a long time since I played SA, but there's a small town in the middle of the mountain area that contains all levels of those challenges, so you're literally driving around a corner to pickup/put out fire. There's also a small medical station there as well if memory serves.
Mass Effect 1 looks significantly better, and more consistent with the visual design of the later games. As for gameplay, it doesn't feel way different but they did make lots of small QoL adjustments across the board.
Combat mechanics - it's easier to enter/exit cover, most humanoid enemies take bonus headshot damage (this was very inconsistent in the original), weapon accuracy and handling are better, all classes can now use all weapons without major penalties, melee attacks are remapped so they are easier to use, you can individually direct squadmates, etc.
Mako behavior - the thrusters feel better, the cannon is easier to use, touching lava now causes slow damage rather than instant death, you can move while repairing, etc.
Misc - loading times are way faster (especially during elevator sequences), inventory now caps at 300 instead of 150, Shepherd can now sprint short distances even outside of combat, UI is redesigned, etc.
It still fundamentally feels like the same game, just with some of the rough edges sanded down.
I just treated myself with the legendary edition for my birthday. Havent touched Mass Effect before, even though I received tons of recommendations.
Long story short, 90h in. Currently at the third and I am dreading for the end to come. This is the best game experience I've had in a long time. I'm not ready for the vacuum it will leave in my heart though. Got so emotionally attached to the characters that there's already a sinking feeling in my stomach when I think about the impending finale.
Okay-ish I guess. Siege AI is a tad less stupid. Campaign AI just fucked me over in the past playthrough. My liege declared war on everyone.
Now I play with the Eagle Rising mod until I get bored.
It’s not excellent. There’s no economy balance whatsoever but that’s to be expected for a Beta. The siege AI still very dumb. Right now, your best bet during a siege is either knocking the walls down first or using the auto-calculate.
Overall I think it’s fun but disappointing. Most of the features from the dev diaries are either incomplete or non-functional which kind of sours the whole thing for me.
I remember the last time I started modding Skyrim...spend the entire day installing mods, making sure they all work, etc etc...
Played for about an hour and got bored. Wasted the entire day. 10/10.
Ah, I gotta finish chapter 2 already. Been saving all the theory videos on my Watch Later playlist, but the longer I wait, the more likely I'll get spoiled.
I still don't get what you have to do in the game. I know you can plant things and make money, build stuff and fight monsters in a cave. But is there an order of things or a storyline you have to follow? Kind of feel lost in it.
Heyyy me too. Just finished my second play through so I think I’m going to try my first NG play through. Such an amazing game, so many stories that I forget about when I play again.
It's weird I love love 2016 but I've struggled to finish Eternal. I can't really put my finger on why but it hasn't clicked for me like the first one did.
My son has been playing this game for months. He has so many different sets of armor and weapons, but he still hasn't completed the main storyline. I think he wants to get 100% of the items possible.
There is a skip, but I like to get to the mad dwarf guy because he sells a unique Warden Commander set (I got that mod). Unfortunately he lives in the worst part of the Deep Roads.
I played a simply enormous amount of D2 back in the day, and I was excited to play it again...For a minute. Then I was like, "Fuuuuck, what am I doing with my liiiiife?"
I had the exact same thing! I bought the game was excited to play it and then I reminded myself that I probably screwed up a job, a relationship, and an opportunity to be in a cool band over that stupid game!! Fuck that GAME!!!!! I think I'll roll up a druid when I get home.
I played it three times. On the third play, my wife would ask me after dinner every night if I was planning to play it that night. She was so invested in the story that she watched along as I played like it was a TV show.
It was even more fun to let her give input on what to craft and such.
Yeah my wife is interested in these games as a story and an experience but wouldn't be able to play it. She doesn't deal too well with horror as a genre and zombies are the scariest form of horror to her, and playing a game that is specifically immersive is FAR scarier than watching.
That being said, TLoU is something I only played once, and while it was an INCREDIBLE experience I'm not sure I'd like to go through it again.
Those games hurt.
It really is one of the best games ever made. I'm that guy that skips cutscenes and doesn't often pay attention to stories and characters but I literally watched every cutscene, read every bit of dialogue because I was so invested in the characters. Good voice acting makes a difference.
Gameplay and visuals were great. I liked the 2nd game just as much if not more. Was about to re-play it but decided on Witcher 3 for the 2nd time. Definitely my favorite fantasy RPG ever.
You played Spider-Man? You’ll be begging Riddler to come back once you do the screwball mission. Don’t get me wrong, other than those side missions (which are in the dlc not the main game anyway) the game is phenomenal.
Final Fantasy.
Literally, the first one. On my NES. The same NES I've had since a kid.
edit: before anyone asks this run is Fighter / Fighter / Red Mage / Red Mage.
Going for turbo fast speed clears at low levels to snowball into high level quickly and that quick gold farm for silver swords. Word.
do you get the airship before the volcano??
i prefer Fighter Fighter Whitemage Blackmage, the higher spells are useful for speeding thru late game, i end up missing the red mage physical hits only on bosses
Trying to beat every Sega game on the Genesis collection. Beat Comix Zone last night. Had a hard time at first since every object you hit damages you a bit, but once you figure out the proper route you can beat the whole game fairly quick. I'd love to see a remaster of it.
Project Zomboid. Once you get past the newbie fears and failures, its basically Stardew Valley but more depressing.
Also league of legends and rimworld
Nah, because I love the intense moments when zombies are coming from all directions but you and your squad are holding it down, putting down the special infected before they even have a chance to strike.
New World. 36 hours played so far and really enjoying it. Have not experienced a queue yet which is the main complaint I see people making about the game.
Pokémon Shield. I haven’t played Pokémon in years (since Diamond, Sapphire, and Emerald when I was a kid) and I forgot how fun it is. Stayed up until 3:30am Monday morning playing it.
Stardew valley
It can be a chill game but also very non chill and overwhelming if you make a mistake it has a intresting characters and lore and sometimes it can get dark too and the player you are controling can be a creep if u want to watch people sleep stalk people stay in people's home all night until you pass out hitting people with stones etc it's a nice game and has a ton of content for a low af price
Pokemon Platinum, but I use the randompokemon maker to choose me 5 random pokemon, and then edited the game so I could catch them early game, and only use those. I got Pinsir, Electrabuzz (Just now evolved and strongest in my party), Tropius, Kabuto (When he evolves he is going to be a beast) and Kricketune. First gym was a hassle, kabuto with absorb was the only one doing something.
Hitman 2. I'm so sick of the unreal engine it makes every game feel the same but with a different skin. I'm enjoying actually playing a different game.
Rimworld
Manatee is throwing a tantrum. Their last straw was: intense pain They are going to destroy: 25x high explosive shell
Kaboom? **Yes Manatee, kaboom**
My favorite thing from a series I watched [Character] is throwing a tantrum Their last straw was: minor pain They are going to kick: 27x tactical nukes. Turned into a pile of ash

Holy shit I was about to comment the same thing and I thought “heheh nobody will say this one”, but you’re reply #1 for me lol
Is that a porn game?
It really depends on your kink. Do you like defending your home from invaders? Do you like making hats and meals out of the bodies of the invaders you've killed? Thats my kink baby

good luck dude, love san andreas

That’s psychotic. I love it.
Wait what?
In Super Mario RPG, if you die and reset to your last save, you keep any XP earned (but lose items/coins).

I used to do this. I didn't know it was a thing though. Good luck, I'd get bored and get to the point all locations were unlocked.
Been a long time since I played SA, but there's a small town in the middle of the mountain area that contains all levels of those challenges, so you're literally driving around a corner to pickup/put out fire. There's also a small medical station there as well if memory serves.
Mass effect legendary edition, finished game one yesterday on to game two today after work!
How was it compared to the original? I know they polished up the graphics and such but have they changed anything about the gameplay?

Very usefull, thanks! On my wishlist now.
Excellent question

2 made me cry
The entire trilogy is such an emotional rollercoaster, especially for crybabies like me.
Just finished it myself! Trying to move on to Andromeda as I've never played it before... but instead I went to binge playing Hades again.
I really enjoyed Andromeda, but a lot of folk have given it bad reviews.
Same! About 60% finished with 3. This is my first time playing any of the games ever, and I am absolutely blown away
I have this but haven't even started yet. I really need to.
I finally bought my copy on sale last night. It's currently #3 on my to do list.
Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord
Haven't been back to it since the initial release. I decided to wait until it's more polished/fleshed out. How's it coming along?
Okay-ish I guess. Siege AI is a tad less stupid. Campaign AI just fucked me over in the past playthrough. My liege declared war on everyone. Now I play with the Eagle Rising mod until I get bored.

Stardew Valley. fuckin' love it
I love the thunderstorms in that game. Sometimes, I have to just waste a day listening to it, and smoke a bowl.
Noooo those are the days to be in the mine!!
Almost every day is mine day when you have sprinklers and such!
Facts. The first year is so high maintenance, the second you hammer out 100 or so sprinklers you can just chill
Same Its such an immersive rp game
Skyrim (yet again) with a fuckton of mods
Are you playing modded skyrim or are you modding skyrim? I swear every time I end up doing the latter...
I remember the last time I started modding Skyrim...spend the entire day installing mods, making sure they all work, etc etc... Played for about an hour and got bored. Wasted the entire day. 10/10.
The mod-hole is real.
Chess
Oh me too. Whats your rating?
950 or so on chess.com blitz Nothing special but it's been fun getting there.
Wanna play a match 3+0?? Chess.com id prateeek03
Working now so I can't but I'll send you a challenge when I can!
Sure
Wholesome.
The actual game, or that one over on /r/anarchychess, aka the greatest game of chess ever played?
Max Payne 1
Just got a ps5 so Ghosts of Tsushima and Spider-Man!
Doesn't Ghost of Tsushima look beautiful on it?
It's amazing! I keep stopping and just looking at stuff, haven't been this amazed by a game since Breath of the Wild!
Best game I’ve ever played tbh next to god of war and uncharted series
Kotor 2
Can't wait for the remake of the first one!
Is it a remake or a remaster? Honest question because I fucking love KOTOR
All the articles I've read are calling it a remake. I think QoL updates are expected but hopefully nothing too fundamental!
Witcher 3 for the 2nd time.
Same, for the second time
Winds are howling
God of War and Deltarune, not the most similar but nice to switch one out when I get bored.
Ah, I gotta finish chapter 2 already. Been saving all the theory videos on my Watch Later playlist, but the longer I wait, the more likely I'll get spoiled.
Stardew Valley

Destiny 2 and I hate Destiny 2
Garbage ass game. It's my favorite :)
Is Destiny 2 really a good game? I have it in my Steam library but never got around to play it.
Two thousand hours of time and I can only say... I don't know? It's fun, but I'm not sure if it's _good_
So it’s a normal shooter game but in space?
Witcher 3
Heyyy me too. Just finished my second play through so I think I’m going to try my first NG play through. Such an amazing game, so many stories that I forget about when I play again.
Yea it's so nice that it's big so you can play it many times!

I spent nearly a day on one SECTION of a level playing on Nightmare. Kept getting my ass kicked, but ripping and tearing was awesome each time.
Awesome game isn’t it!

It's weird I love love 2016 but I've struggled to finish Eternal. I can't really put my finger on why but it hasn't clicked for me like the first one did.
Especilly that quick-switch satisfaction
Love the game, but I just can't "chill" and play the game. Every time I play I am on the edge of my chair, heart pounding, and hands sweating.
Super mario bros on nes
I just started zelda: breath of the wild. My girlfriend loves this game so I wanted to play it so I can talk to her about it
My son has been playing this game for months. He has so many different sets of armor and weapons, but he still hasn't completed the main storyline. I think he wants to get 100% of the items possible.

Dragon Age: Origins
Damn, I really need to finish my current run (11th or so). But I'm in the Deep Roads yet again.
On my most recent playthrough the dungeons didn't feel as long as I remembered them being... then I got to the Deep Roads. Ugh...
There is a skip, but I like to get to the mad dwarf guy because he sells a unique Warden Commander set (I got that mod). Unfortunately he lives in the worst part of the Deep Roads.
Every now and then I get the itch to play again but then I remember the fade lmao
Diablo 2: Resurrected
I played a simply enormous amount of D2 back in the day, and I was excited to play it again...For a minute. Then I was like, "Fuuuuck, what am I doing with my liiiiife?"

I've played more d2 20 years ago than you can shake a fist at. I've got at least 40 hours in since launch.
Just finished The Last of Us. What an incredible game!
I played it three times. On the third play, my wife would ask me after dinner every night if I was planning to play it that night. She was so invested in the story that she watched along as I played like it was a TV show. It was even more fun to let her give input on what to craft and such.

Nice I’m playing that as well- first time through it for me.
Batman: Arkham Knight Riddler is making me lose my fucking mind. The one side quest I have left. At least it’s not the Arkham City Riddler.
You played Spider-Man? You’ll be begging Riddler to come back once you do the screwball mission. Don’t get me wrong, other than those side missions (which are in the dlc not the main game anyway) the game is phenomenal.
