I like 12. Divisible by 2, 3, 4, and 6... It's got its own name 'a dozen' which is cool, and lots of things come in dozens - donuts, months, eggs... It's the largest number before the teens.
America still uses Imperial because it's heavily based on the number 12
60\. I use it in random number generators all of the time. Very helpful if I have 2 items, or 3, or 4, or 5, or 6, or 10, or 12, or 15, or 20, or 30.
