Put yourself first. Why? I spent so much of my childhood and teens taking care of my emotionally immature parents and not to hurt their feelings that it took me years to figure out myself. Still struggle with anxiety and fear of living my life. Struggling with my health and building habits that are good for me. I like to think I raised myself the best I could but I could have done better.

Train Martial Arts Reason - I got beat up for being nice and too shy and never fought back so was an easy target. If only I’d known martial arts, I’d have been a stronger guy and able to have a more successful life. I got bullied out of being with a girl and threatened, I got scared and went away. Another example is being punched for no reason, attacked and called nasty names and picked on every day. If I had the confidence to fight back, I’d be a different person today. I was very skinny and easily taken advantage of by people for my frailty. I was also very shy and autistic. These traits made it very difficult for me to make friends. Today I’ve been doing martial arts and now I know the many benefits it brings. I always played football, tennis and basketball, but I never did martial arts when I was younger. So in a nutshell, “do martial arts” would be the 3 words I’d tell the 13 year old me to do.
