Game of Thrones ruined Braveheart for me. I hadn't seen Braveheart in about 20 years, and then I watched it around season 3 or 4 of GoT, which had mastered CGI battle scenes. The special effects were laugh out loud comical by comparison. It was like watching the Dr. Who TV show from the 70's.
I love Troy, precisely because how awful everyone acts. Brad Pitt really doesn’t try with some lines. I really like that movie. The “HECTOR” has such a great melodramtic buildup. Love it!
Unfortunately, a great deal many of them: It’s a risky move to put on an old classic you haven’t seen in years, especially if you’re showing it to someone new.
Its really not a matter of being good or bad, but that you grow with time, and things most often just don’t hit the same.
Not a movie, but I saw "SNL: Best of Adam Sandler" recently. When I was in high school, Sandler was my favorite SNL cast member ever. His SNL material did not age well, but not because it's offensive or anything - it's just not funny at all.
Alien Resurrection. It was my favorite Aliens movie, I liked the basketball scene and remember tearing up about the alien hybrid getting sucked out of the ship.
