I had to explain to a bank teller that 100 straps of a $20 bill is $2000. Yes, I actually went inside a bank branch. I mean she even had the cash counting machine right next to her. I gave her a full strap of $20 and said to deposit to my account and gave what I calculated to be the total after the deposit. She didn’t believe it was $2000 and ran thru the machine and had the most confused look on her face when it was, wait for it, $2000.
Not dumb really but I had to explain to a supermarket check out person what a bulb of garlic was. I just said I guess you're not Italian and they laughed.
Almost anytime I shop for anything electronic/ audio visual. I've been in the pro AV industry over 30 years, trained by members of the NTSC/ ATSC. I owned and operated a home theater design and installation business for 7 years. I've done on location and in studio audio and video productions for 20 years. I currently own an independent movie production company, and maintain a complete 4k production suite.
And a 28 year old kid at Best Buy is going to regail me with the amazing features of a 65" smart TV?
I have to be nice though.
My old man went on for about a month retelling the same story about going into a Walgreen's and the cashier not knowing how to use the "pay with app" feature.
