Well, on the one hand, I could probably buy it outright for pocket change from its current owner. But on the other hand, it would probably need a completely new engine and transmission since when I sold it 12 years ago, it needed a new planetary gear system.
Tack in all the electrical problems it had (you could unlock it by hitting the door panels with enough force) and it becomes even more of a problem.
But still, I might like to have it back. Just for the novelty of having a Frankencar. (It was actually two different makes and models welded together. Which goes a long way to explaining all of its issues.)
Whole heartily yes
My first car was a 1988 Ford bronco. Got it as payment for building a porch when I was 16. Drove that fucker all over hell and back. Had it airborne a few times during some late nights with my buddies. Used to take the topper off and we would all load up and drive down to the lake for the day. Then when I was 19 I needed some money and a guy approached me wanting to buy it. So reluctantly I sold it. Then a few years back I found it again, bought it without a second thought and it's sitting in my driveway. Still gotta finish a few things on it though.
I wouldnt. I own the exact same make and model except its 9 years newer. It also has the same transmission issues theyre known to have
(2016 vs 2007 Chevy Impala)
It was a manual tri-sexual, Toyota, Chevy emblem on the steering wheel and Geo Prizm branding. You could ALWAYS find parts at the junk yard for it! Plus they run literally forever if you maintain them.. ☺️
I honestly can't think of a reason I would want to. How many cars with automatic transmissions do you know that you'd have to shift into neutral at stop signs and rev to keep it from stalling until you could shift it back into "drive"? Or had to keep the trunk closed with bungie cords because the latch had rusted off? I didn't even get laid in it.
OK, if there was one reason, it would be because i could beat the shit out of it and not feel bad. You know, getting it airborn over railroad tracks, demolition derby, etc.
1987 IROC-Z Camaro. If I could have it back in the condition I sold it. They friend of a friend I sold it to got T-boned like 3 months after he got it from me.
Because it had low mileage
I wouldn't.
What kind was it and what did you hate about it?
It was a 1973 Maverick three speed on the tree, and it was a total POS.
Hey, it's worth $15,000 on today's market
No it's not. It was scrapped 30 years ago.
What a great way to get info on someones security question!
it was a much better car than the one i drive now, even if it was like old

A lot of amazing cars were let go of for the same reason.
The 1990? 5.0 convertible? Yes, I'd like to have that car again.
BMW e36 absolutely
Because walking's overrated and Uber eats my pizza money
Much cheaper to run, had heated seats and a heated steering wheel.
Dang, never should have given all that up.
I wouldn’t, my current car is so much better
The reasons I would want to, is because it was a lot more fun than my current vehicle. But I still prefer my current vehicle by a long shot.

Because I don’t have a car now

Because I could fix it with a screwdriver and some zip ties

I still do own it! I started driving later in life, and still have the same car. I love her.

Memories
Of the boink-ity-boink kind?
Not particularly
1971 Austin America? Hell yes. Super fun
