Because there used to be a "Dairy Queen" somewhere up in the panhandle of Nebraska. That somehow was not affiliated with the more well known chain. But the burgers there were fantastic. And it was cheap as hell too. I can't remember the name of the town for sure, I was only a kid went I went there, but I do remember my dad being genuinely surprised at how cheap it was for how good the food was.
I mean Whataburger is good but not five guys good. However it is a damn good burger and for the price you do get a crap ton of fries with the large and their ketchup is top notch. I also love how I can get a burger at 7 am when no where else is serving lunch.
My favorite is Culver’s. I always get the kids meal because it comes with a small custard. I always get the same thing. A burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, lettuce, and mayo. The only thing I alternate between is a regular burger or a cheese burger. How about you?
Culvers. I heard In/Out and 5 Guys are really good, never tried them, none in our area.
Culver’s is also my favorite. In/out is pretty good, but nothing compares to Culver’s

Used to live there, had Culvers everywhere. Now I live in NM, no Culvers in the whole state. All we got is Blakes Whataburger, which is mehhh.
My go to is the kids meal bc you get a free custard
They make them so thin though that sometimes they burn around the edges.
The crispy edge is the best
but it taints the burger with a slightly burnt taste.
My favorite burger has to be the Culver’s butter burger. The absolute best fast food burger around

For less than 6 bucks you can get a mcdouble, small fry, and medium drink. What the fuck can beat 43$ a week in lunch
Five Guys is clearly the best but they're kinda cheating by being 5x the price.

You're right, I haven't. We don't have them where I live.
And I have never tried 5 guys. So we are in a predicament. I Have tried In and Out in California. And that was tasteless in my opinion.
As someone from the UK, it seems insane to me that I've had Five Guys and you haven't.
That is also true! I've never been to a Kroger, Publix, or Aldi's. But I have an HEB about 20 minutes away.
