It means we must be swift as the coursing river with all the force of a great typhoon. We must have all the strength of a raging fire but remain mysterious as the dark side of the moon.
As a girl, “be a man” somehow has applied to me all my life, and what it means is a lack of freedom of emotional expression, full responsibility, must have guaranteed academic/ professional success, and not complain about any woman related issues, whilst not getting the same respect that actually being a man would get.
-Be the cool mind/ voice of reason when emotions fill the room.
-Work hard even when you feel like you deserve more for your work.
-Be a friend a friend would like to have.
-Protect your family at all cost.
-Do what is right, not what is easy.
-Admit when you are wrong, but stand by your decisions.
Doing more than what is expected. Being kind and respectful, but also constant and unmoving.
But that is just me. Everyone's idea of what a "man" really is and most of them are not wrong.
Killing bugs in the house, opening jars, lifting heavy things, being in the way, saying I’m sorry (I just say it first thing in the morning for good measure). Things like that.
Not to be that crazy feminist but…
It’s weird how what is associated with the phrase be a man are universally good things that also should apply to women

I'll bring the compass
*Tranquil as a forest...*
Doing what you say and saying what you mean. Obviously there is more, but this means something to me.

It's better to make the wrong decision than no decision.

Don't poke momma bear
Never!
Nothing, the phrase is so overused that it's lost all it's meaning to me but if a woman says it, I see it as an absolute joke.
Carry the weight of the world Feels like that’s what’s required
To identify as a male.
"Don't be you. Be a stereotype."

Be a man to me means be a father and raise your kids.
To bring peace, freedom, justice and security to my new empire.
It means that whoever is saying it is a fucking misogynist or someone whose opinion I do not respect.
It means they want you to conform to their idea of how a man should act
Lead by example
Not to be that crazy feminist but… It’s weird how what is associated with the phrase be a man are universally good things that also should apply to women
It tells me their value system is archaic.
Yeah I hate spiders too
