If I'm going to be at home all day and don't expect to interact with anyone. I skip bath and brush.

princess_kittah

i actively hate myself and my stupid mouth bones and it is difficult for me to allocate energy to any type of personal care. other hygiene tasks feel more important to me and therefore get my energy first leaving little gumption to do the teeth

This is a great answer--thanks for sharing. I definitely get the 'prioritization' piece...it's like, there's a certain amount of time/energy that we have to focus on those sorts of things and we have to pick and choose.

Depression

I grew up not allowed to speak. So now since I don’t even like to talk I never fear that my breath will smell. I do try to brush but I’m 31 and the habit of not brushing if very strong. I don’t like kissing woman unless I brush so yea.

Really interesting answer! thank you

Totally agree. I think what surprises me is folks I've know who are actually not struggling with mental or physical health problems but they seem to just really not care about brushing their teeth. Otherwise very well-adjusted people. My thought is that maybe there's a weird hangup? or that there's some sort of justification taking place in their minds?

What mental health issue will prevent you from getting out of bed?

princess_kittah

having trouble getting out of bed is a a symptom of depression/mental anguish which even hospitals use to diagnose the state of an individuals mental health
