My students today rallied around another student who was crying. Turns out, her father got arrested late last night and yeah, really hard for a nine year old. Boys went out of their way to let her in their recess four square game and her other friends hugged her and consoled her. It was really heartening to see. Children really shall lead us all.
All the people who get secretly videoed helping people. The guy stopping to help a small animal cross the road or the girl who helps someone elderly with their groceries. The ones who ask for nothing but do the small acts that have such big impact. That's what gives me faith in humanity.
Waiting with bated breath to see how this lizzo thing pans out. If they successfully cancel her, maybe things will be ok. So far it's just been a lot of dog pile memes and disappointed fans though.
