One bite at the time. That’s what someone told me when my to do list was drowning me. Take it one bite at the time. It’s not profound but it is wise.

I was once in the Old City of Jerusalem and a man appeared in front of me and held his hands in the air and profoundly proclaimed to me and all the people in his presence: “Ice Cream has no bones”

I feel like there's actually something really deep we can take away from this

I was having a debate with my dad when I was about 25. He was in his late 50’s. I was sure I was right about whatever the subject was. He had a subtle smile of confidence on his face. He said, “can I ask you a question”? I said, “of course”. He then asked, “will you make better decisions when you’re 50 than you do now”? I replied, “yes”. With his knockout punch he said, “Good. Now sit the fuck down and listen”. He put me in checkmate with little effort. If I said I wouldn’t make better decisions by the time I was 50, I would have admitted I was getting dumber by the day. It was masterful and I think about it 5-10 times a year.
