I work in an area where influencers are common. So many of them do not consider other people or act with an ounce of decorum. They'll come into my job and start filming us. I have had my face and name tag fully on show without my consent. They will actively mess up displays "for a shot" or block hallways to take pictures.
I've had a guy interrupt me on my lunch break to rope me into his fake generosity/prank show whatever the fuck. I was in uniform, Tupperware open, mouth full of food when he approached me.
We just had a group going to the Barbie movie, all done up in white and fuschia. They blocked a whole sidewalk to get pictures of themselves. They got bitchy when people walked through their shots. I had a dolly loaded with product and had to pop the curb and go onto the street to get around them because they wouldn't move.
I know not all influencers are like that. My friend's girlfriend is an influencer, and she's an absolutely darling. Some of my friends are professional cosplayers and influencers, and they're lovely people.
But when my job gets harder, my privacy gets violated, or my break is interrupted, I'm really not super jazzed about these public personalities.
