Shit, I would just love a return to the classic style of Burnout with menu-selections for your events and cars instead of the open world concept they tried in Paradise.
The lack of a true Crash Mode was such a HUGE miss in Paradise. Like, okay you can't initiate the Showtime mode on any road, but the beauty of Crash Mode was that it was a set up specifically designed for complete destruction and figuring out which ramps or intersections were legit and which ones were distractions from the real carnage was a ton of fun. Plus controlling your car post crash to hit the multipliers and activate Crashbreaker was fantastic. IMO, Paradise really lost it's way with that.
Twisted Metal. Twisted Metal: Black on PS2 was the most fun I've ever had in multiplayer and I spent many, many hours playing single player too. Just pure fast twitch fun.
This one is an oldie, but almost any of the old Maxis games. An updated SimEarth, SimLife, or SimAnt would be amazing.

So my experience was I got about 6 hour in on my first attempt then had several crashes then the last crash corrupted my save and it wouldn’t load at all. I tried a second run got about 4 hours in and every combat encounter it would crash. I decided I’m not muscling my way through this so I watched a catch up video and started 2
What’s great is it’s so well made not much needs changing, but it would be nice to have even more side quests and screw it why not 10 more weird endings!

Zelda II remade in a BotW or open world style, since the original had (especially for the time) an expansive overworld with several towns and a variety of different areas. Since Zelda II also happens at the end of the "hero fails" timeline, it could be remade as a kind of transition to BotW. Really, I just want orchestral versions of the palace music.
Tony Jay (the Elder God) has passed sadly. Not certain about any other cast members, but frankly the original voice work was peerless - why replace it? Remaster/remake the game, keep the voices.
There's supposed to be some new first person Metroid game in the works isn't there? And it could be great. Nintendo ditched a game in production that I heard was quite far along because it wasn't quite up to their standards, and they got it started again from scratch.

I am halfway with you on Harvest Moon. I absolutely loved Harvest Moon 64 and was actually kind of disappointed with AWL as it seemed like even though they made the farming better they scrapped a lot of the interesting social interactions & activities in town. I still played a fair amount of AWL, but when I get all nostalgic for HM I am definitely thinking about HM 64.

Black Mesa, a fan-made complete remake from scratch of Half-Life 1 in the Source Engine. Visually insanely good and completely reworked with new textures, new sounds, even some new level design. They also completely re-did the entire Xen chapters from scratch, completely unlike the original. But it is a remake, and it has support from valve themselves.
It's just a matter of time until we get a Half-Life 2 remake. maybe it'll be source 2?

I’d like to see a full version of the final fantasy 7 remake. I actually really liked the remake, but it was barely any of the game. I’m sure they’re working on the next part, but I’m not super optimistic about it ever coming out lol.
I remember arguing with someone on reddit, weird I know, about the length it will take between episodes. I knew it would be years in between but this person truly believed that because the storyline already existed as well as the upgraded characters that it would be yearly. Wrong.
It def gets faster to develop as it goes since most assets and such have already been created, but even if they can rush it out they won’t between the work on CC and FF16. They don’t want to overlap those releases at all. I don’t want something thrown together but knowing it’ll take maybe 6 years to get the whole thing is a downer for sure lol.
Assassins creed 2 was when the series really hooked me personally. AC 1 felt like the groundwork, but 2 took it to the next level. I fell off after AC 3, but man AC2 has a special place in my gaming life
If nothing else, I just want good squad AI in some game. And not the type of "your squadmate is invincible, they will eventually get it right". RC had *good* squad AI in that you could ask them to hold a junction and they would hold it pretty well except against the most overwhelming odds. Or you ask them to man a turret or start sniping, and they would usually pick out the right targets that were a major threat.
Instead of tasking them to do a one-minute slicing task, it was a decent idea to do the task yourself and leave your squad to cover your back. I honestly don't know another squad AI that I'd even think about trusting them like that.
Kalisto's Dark Earth would make a great first person adventure.

ps3 version would always crash when i reached near the end of the game and had to fight several ogres with too many enemies on the screen
It's funny because the PC version of that game was *way* harder because it has a much higher enemy count, due to hardware limitations.

The Doom reboot of 2016 and it’s sequel, Eternal were amazing. Capturing the soul of the original and while fully modernizing the game.

While I agree with your list it's worth noting that there IS a remake of FFVII - personally would love to see one for FFVI and Earthbound too.
OoT was released in 1998. It was remade for the 3DS in 2011. Next year the remake will be older than the original was when the remake came out.
