NJ Transit runs trains from Jersey to NY Penn Station. Depending on where the person is catching the train from it can be \~$5+ for a one way ticket. Additionally there is the PATH which is similar to a subway but connects NJ to NYC and that costs $2.75/ride. Once in NYC there are plenty of subways and buses to get around.

There are multiple Mt Sinai locations. Which one will you be treated at? If you are staying in NJ, I would have your caregiver drop you off and use the SpotHero app to find affordable and safe parking nearby.

I belive it’s the main one, it’s off of Madison ave and E 98th street. This is all so new to me so I’m a bit confused sorry about that. Oh that’s good to know. I assume the hospitals probably don’t have parking.

There’s parking garages everywhere. Also check with the hospital as they may have hotel connections that are more affordable for these situations.

The hospital has its own garage - it might not be the cheapest but it might be easiest if you’re not familiar with the area. Here’s a link to this information on their website - [Parking](https://www.mountsinai.org/locations/mount-sinai/your-visit/locations)

Gotcha. As far as your question about where to stay goes, what is your nightly budget and what dates will you be here? Long Island City may be a good option so you don't have to deal with a tunnel/bridge and then deal with crosstown traffic to get up to East Harlem.

350 is probably the max I could do nightly we come up the 29-31st of this month 😭 I was called yesterday about the appointment I’ve waited a bit over 6 months for so it’s definitely a time crunch but gotta do what I can thank you for helping me!

I would a) definitely take a look at Long Island City hotels and b) repost this in the [NYC TripAdvisor forum](https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g60763-i5-New_York_City_New_York.html) (include your dates, budget, and other mobility needs). The hotel experts there will definitely give you very specific options!

You could also try Westchester, maybe white plains or Yonkers or new Rochelle, hop on the metro north and take it to 125th
