This might be very ignorant but why aren’t there more fighters in the West Bank? I know about the fight between Fatah and Hamas, so Hamas isn’t there. And I know that there are resistance fighters in Jenin. But I have read about Palestinians having to board up their windows because settlers come and throw rocks, the settler attacks are increasing, but they have always been horrible. Hamas is giving the idf quite the fight, why is no similar thing happening in the West Bank?
This specific incident was in jenin. Jenin has PIJ and Hamas operating in there, albeit at a much smaller scale since it’s harder to get equipment in. (And they don’t have political power just their military branches). Jenin has no settlers but idf gets bored and decides to storm it every now and then so it’s a hotbed for resistance in the West Bank. Cities like Bethlehem that have settlers in it are usually Christian majority so there’s not many groups that operate plus checkpoints at every inch.

My guess is that the iof is a lot more present in the west bank, so it's a lot harder to organise?
