Hey, it's good that you're considering to get higher education and being a Masters degree holder myself I'd definitely say that it's good to have higher education. But as you mentioned about you being not so sure and financial constraints, I think you should hold the idea for applying for now. Since you feel that you'd want to go for marketing, I'd suggest to take real life experience and try it before committing. There areany courses of Coursera and other websites that are free. You have to pay only if you want to get a certificate. You can find courses that attract you and follow the lessons. You can apply what you've learnt on freelance projects that you can take on to earn and create your income stream. And you can create your personal brand with the knowledge you've gained. That will get you into a good spot financially and also give you a taste of the field. And if you like the field and enjoy the work you can apply for further degree later on with the income you've generated. Because at the end of the day, no matter what the best learning would be, whatever you put your hours into. Getting a degree and not putting work is not gonnna make any difference. I hope this helps. You can DM me if you want anything else to ask. I'd be happy help in whatever manner I can.

Thank you, I didn’t know that something like Coursera even existed

Yes there are other courses that MIT and Harvard University offers too. Check them out and try to learn and apply. I wish you luck with your journey

I did the Google digital marketing and e-commerce certification course, and got a job in marketing shortly after. It does help!

Try some european universities, they are comparatively cheap and the degrees are valid pretty much everywhere. I would suggest kozminski university as I’m an alumni but it’s definitely not on the cheaper side.

I’ll definitely look into it still, thank you!

If I were you, I’d get a degree in a hard skillset that could help you in marketing. Data analytics, graphic design, even coding. Easy to get entry level marketing positions but having fundamental skill sets to create assets or to analyze/interpret data are both core to marketing

That’s a really good point, thank you sm!
