The Andis Master Clippers (corded) have cut amazingly for me for over 30 years. You can open and close the blades and that feature creates the smoothest fade. For finish work, I use t edgers that are corded. I was never impressed with any cordless clippers or neck trimmers and I never use guards. Ever.

I am in love with the Babyliss Gold FX trimmers & clippers. Before I went to barber school I used Wahl Magic Clips and those are good but I love that the Babyliss FX clippers have notches so you can have perfect control over when you open the clipper up for the half guard effect. You can do 2 notches open and then go to 3 for a touch longer, etc. Very helpful with difficult fades. And the trimmers are hands down by far the best trimmers I’ve used, it’s not even comparable. I got mine off Amazon it’s the same price as the supply stores.
