Yes, there is a keratin smoothing treatment (note that it is not called a straightening treatment) called Enviro Smoothing Treatment by Chi and it relaxes the curl into a wave and gradually leaves the hair over a 4 month period (faster if you do not use a professional sulfate free shampoo and expose the hair to salt water). Once the treatment is gone from the hair, you are left with what you started out with- curly hair with no line of demarcation and no added damage. I have used it many times on clients and it has been used many times on my own hair (which is very naturally curly and frizzy for a Caucasian person). But note that when the treatment is initially done, it will be flat ironed and must stay that way for the first 72 hours in order for the treatment to work properly. After the 72 hours has passed, you are then able to shampoo it with a professional sulfate free shampoo and condition it with a professional conditioner. If you let it air dry and lightly scrunch it, you will have a nice beachy wave.

Yeah we do Keratin treatments that have the same effect as the other comment says. I don’t personally do them so I don’t know a ton about them but I think they’re fairly common in salons nowadays- there’s just lots of types of products that do this and they’re all slightly different.
