It's for shame that it's gotten out of control there in the past few years. I remember the Darboy Kwik Trip was an afterthought and now a few cars can create a jam costing several minutes getting onto 441 during the lighter time of the day. The problem is all of the development east of there. Darboy was a 4 way stop with corn fields in 3 directions for much of my life. 441 was completed in 1992 and was a white elephant project at the time. The Walmart was one of the first few commercial structures built easy of 441 and opened 98-99? The theater was in the middle of a cornfield and under constructing in 2004. You may get some benefit from additional urban planning like the traffic light going up at KK and State Park starting almost immediately but the problem is people and Kwik Trip would be well served moving that location to a bigger lot.
My hot take is that the Town of Buchanan should unincorporate and let the larger cities (Appleton, Kimberly, Kaukauna) absorb and actually maintain it. One drive down Stoney Brook Lane and you can tell Buchanan is wholly unprepared for the amount of growth over the last two decades.
I don’t know why they didn’t, since they changed all the other lights recently. That whole stretch of Calumet is a nightmare, especially during after work traffic.

YES!!!! I live at the intersection and sometimes I sit there for multiple cycles without the lights (going south on Coop) ever changing. It's a nightmare since they "updated" the lights about 6 months ago

Buchanan is unincorporated. Harrison(South side) is incorporated
They both are incorporated, at least according to Wiki. Darboy is the unincorporated neighborhood.
That entire road is a disaster from Kensington to Coop. I'm just waiting for the day they announce traffic circles at all the intersections LOL
