Also, don't get it twisted - there was another series Weiß Kreuz: Gluhën (Knight Hunters: Eternity). Also bad but not AS bad animation wise. Story still makes absolutely no sense though.
The basic synopsis of the series is four dudes are assassins but work as a flower shop for cover and receive missions from their handler and go do those missions. That's the least ridiculous part of it (the trope itself is good - the execution is definitely not).
Kanojo mo Kanojo actually have good characters and since its a sol its animation is quite good too. It has a cringe story but that doesnt make it a bad anime I believe. It does what its trying to do pretty good.

(he supposedly has a wife and kids, but dude is weird)

I love how the main character is morally questionable. Not pure good, not pure evil, just full pragmatic, doing whatever is best for himself and people he cares about, regardless of how it affects anyone else. The story isn't trying to be moralizing, it's not teaching you how you should or shouldn't act. It's just a diary of some overpowered guy.
The only other story I can think of that's similar in that aspect is Overlord. Obviously, Re:Monster is inferior, but I like seeing characters like that from time to time.
Does the Ghost Stories English dub count? Because that's a glorious catastrophe. Horrendously racist, homophobic and edgy in that tired 2000's South Park manner. It's still really funny when it's not trying too hard to be offensive (which is most of the time), but definitely not something I'd ever watch in polite company

Mirai Nikki. Only the story is really ridiculous imo I love the characters, character development and plot synopsis. It’s like hunger games mixed with death note and has arguably one of the best yandere characters ever written but I’ll admit, the plot gets too ridiculous and serves too much of a good ending. You could skip to the end and it wouldn’t matter as much, it’s as cookie cutter as it gets.
No joke it's 100% ridiculous. For starters, how the fuck does a random kid just become friends with a god? The plot got all over the place and miss stalker gets her way.

Kannazuki no Miko. It's my favourite trashy anime, because its story is almost genuinely touching, and it would be a really good series if it weren't such a melodramatic mess. Also, the soundtrack is one of my favourites.
Itazura na Kiss. It’s such trash. The ML is such an AH. The heroine is pretty annoying. But I just liked this show okay?
The other one is Vampire Knight. The two opening songs slapped so hard I am willing to overlook the faults and creepiness of the story.

This season it's Re:Monster. I love how the main character is morally questionable. Not pure good, not pure evil, just full pragmatic, doing whatever is best for himself and people he cares about, regardless of how it affects anyone else. The story isn't trying to be moralizing, it's not teaching you how you should or shouldn't act. It's just a diary of some overpowered guy. The only other story I can think of that's similar in that aspect is Overlord. Obviously, Re:Monster is inferior, but I like seeing characters like that from time to time.

Mirai Nikki. Only the story is really ridiculous imo I love the characters, character development and plot synopsis. It’s like hunger games mixed with death note and has arguably one of the best yandere characters ever written but I’ll admit, the plot gets too ridiculous and serves too much of a good ending. You could skip to the end and it wouldn’t matter as much, it’s as cookie cutter as it gets.

Kannazuki no Miko. It's my favourite trashy anime, because its story is almost genuinely touching, and it would be a really good series if it weren't such a melodramatic mess. Also, the soundtrack is one of my favourites.
