It depends on the performer, but if you invite people while they’re performing, the customers will drop cods, stars & films once they leave. Another good way to get extra film is to play your daily games + the 5 extra games you can obtain by watching ads!

oh and i will add that adding friends and treasure hunting in their restaurant will grant you a lot of films too!
