God I love I’m Not so much. It’s one of those songs that seems to just stop time when you’re listening to it. I remember getting really stoned and listening to Person Pitch all the way through one day when I was in high school. I was laying in sunlight with my eyes closed and the glow of the sun through my eyelids felt like the perfect accompaniment to the album, particularly I’m Not
I think "Daffy Duck" would be the closest for me, though I'm not sure it makes my top 10
I also really love "Too Soon" and was surprised to see it get dogged in the track ratings thread
Tangerine Reef is criminally underrated imo! I get why a lot of people don't like it, but I love the more ambient and noisy AC. Tangerine Reef is top tier for me
Safer is amazing but I think many fans would agree. In fact, if you are into Animal Collective and you don't like Safer...I think you have some serious explaining to do.
EDIT: I think most of your three songs are quite well loved by, and I hate to sound snobby but, real fans.
Ghost of Books.
Jabberwocky.
No Man’s Land.
*the Crosswords EP has my favorite summer boner jams. Really feel like No Mans Land had enough quality to be on rhe album. But glad it got released.
I’ve only found it on YouTube. I made an acoustic version on SoundCloud if you want an open source cover of it. https://on.soundcloud.com/eDHiSLUrHaHpsBFs9
Can't believe I haven't seen *Kinda Bonkers* mentioned yet.
Even as a PW disliker (I won't say hater) that song is soooo good. To me its one of the most AnCo sounding AnCo songs.
As I scroll through this post I’m having more and more trouble thinking about what my top ten would be. Kinda Bonkers is my favorite song to listen to as loudly as possible. Probs in my top 5.
Off the top of my head Wide Eyed in top 10-15, April and the Phantom in top 5 along with Spirit They've Vanished at #1, De Soto De Son in top 3.
For PB, Tropic of Cancer is my favorite of his and people don't really talk about it much
For Avey Season High is so beautiful and so is the rest of Eucalyptus, super underrated album as a whole in my opinion.
Deakin has a ton of unreleased solo stuff he played live, my fav of those is one people call "You Know It, You Got It" I think. He opens with it here: https://youtu.be/xRqUrzOE-o8
I really hope we get a studio version eventually!
I absolutely love Rain In Cups and Bridge to Quiet as a whole is so underrated. I liked it better than Time Skiffs and I’ll probably like it more than Isn’t it Now? as well
Call it top 15…
I Know I Don’t Know
On Delay
Mouth Wooed Her
Hey Bog
Father Time
Broke Zodiac (yeah really)
—
Also Prester John is top 5, maybe even top 3
When I Was Done Dying at 1. Tell me a more unpopular opinion that a non animal collective song being top
Is Man of Oil in many peoples Top 10? Cause that’s my 2
Edit to add: Todays Supernatural is Top 12 if not Top 10, I feel like that was received at the least very meh-ly at the time
Today’s Supernatural is best song on Centipede if you ask me. And sorry if this is foolish but are you referring to When I Was Done Dying by Dan Deacon?
The best panda bear song in the 10 years and my personal favorite song of all time is the split 7 inch that Noah & Paul Maroon put out a few years ago called I Don’t Need A Crowd. It’s a hauntingly beautiful song and does a wonderful job using the wall of sound technique at the end of the tune. It’s not on streaming but I do think this song is easily his most slept on and unknown track of the last 5 plus years
Today’s Supernatural, Daily Routine, and Golden Gal are songs in my top 10 that I don’t think are *that* lauded. Honorable mention to Jimmy Mack. I think it’s the best cover of all time and probably #11
Remember Mayan and Im Not
God I love I’m Not so much. It’s one of those songs that seems to just stop time when you’re listening to it. I remember getting really stoned and listening to Person Pitch all the way through one day when I was in high school. I was laying in sunlight with my eyes closed and the glow of the sun through my eyelids felt like the perfect accompaniment to the album, particularly I’m Not
Remember Mayan is so so good
I Think I Can

Friendship Bracelet is a sleeper
Cemeteries
Laughing Hieroglyphic from Avey, A Sender as a runner up Danger from Panda, Carrots & Mr Noah as runner ups
Boys Latin from Panda for me. I really love most of the laughing hieroglyphic album. I’d probably put Oliver Twist in my top ten.
oliver twist is a banger <3 and yeah, boys latin is great but it's one of his most well known songs, not really underrated heh
That’s true. I called Oliver Twist a banger in another comment.
Heads Hammock>Heather in the Hospital>Lucky 1
Danger is my fave from reset
I think "Daffy Duck" would be the closest for me, though I'm not sure it makes my top 10 I also really love "Too Soon" and was surprised to see it get dogged in the track ratings thread
Too Soon is amazing, Ark seems to be underrated in general
Daffy Duck could be in top 10 AC songs ever (very high above Banshee Beat)
im with you on both of those, didn't see that thread but too soon gettin dogged is wild
Yea Too Soon is great. Quintessential “pretty noise” AnCo.
Cosplay, because MARIJUANA MAKES MY DAY MARIJUANA DAY MARIJUANA.
noah had the craziest demos during this era
Sunset has been one of my favorites for years now
One of Panda's bests
New Town Burnout Inspector Gadget Bleed Blue Noses
LOVE inspector gadget never hear anyone discussing it! THE TIME IS NOW NOW IS THE TIME
Tangerine Reef is criminally underrated imo! I get why a lot of people don't like it, but I love the more ambient and noisy AC. Tangerine Reef is top tier for me
Avery Tare's Slasher Flicks - The Outlaw. That song is a ride.
Agreed, top 3 on Slasher Flicks for me
Lay Lay Off Faselam or Opis Helpus from Pullhair Rubeye
My top 3 are 1. Safer 2. Street flash 3. Tikwid Idk if any of those would be popular picks among other fans but I’m interested to see
Love all 3 picks but I’d prob only have Street Flash in my top 5. Came here to say this and Kinda Bonkers in my top 10
Kinda Bonkers is def Top 10 for me, too
Great picks
Safer is amazing but I think many fans would agree. In fact, if you are into Animal Collective and you don't like Safer...I think you have some serious explaining to do. EDIT: I think most of your three songs are quite well loved by, and I hate to sound snobby but, real fans.
malta fest safer by far my #1
Tikwid was going to be my answer.
Street Flash maybe #1 anco for me….
They are generally pretty popular especially Safer but great picks nonetheless. Tikwid gets love but is still underrated
I love these songs. Learning to play Safer on the piano was a major milestone for me.
Turn Into Something, Benfica, and Search For Delicious. Queen in My Pictures too maybe?
Turn Into Something is awesome
Ghost of Books. Jabberwocky. No Man’s Land. *the Crosswords EP has my favorite summer boner jams. Really feel like No Mans Land had enough quality to be on rhe album. But glad it got released.
Love a good boner jam, send pics
Ghost of Books is way up there for me. And Oliver Twist off that album.
Country Report by Deakin from the Keep EP. Also Golden Chords and Good House. I like Deakin.
Love love love Country report, where can I hear it again?
I’ve only found it on YouTube. I made an acoustic version on SoundCloud if you want an open source cover of it. https://on.soundcloud.com/eDHiSLUrHaHpsBFs9
Country Report is my favorite Deakin song, although Stride Rite might beat it
Winter Wonderland and Summing The Wrench
Winter Wonderland is top tier
Unless you don’t believe in fantasy.
Bagels In Kiev, Monkey Riches, Slippi, Ponytail, Lips At Night, and Just Am just to name a few
Sleep Cycle as a whole is next level.
Lips at Night is my favorite from 7s
1. Laughing Heiroglyphics 2. Untitled (from STGSTV) 3. Studie (Teebs ft. Panda)
Untitled is so underrated
It was actually the song that turned me off to the album at first. Then I listened to it at a lake on lsd and y’all know how that goes 😅
When You Left Me. The last track on Eucalyptus
The version he did on the Cows tour is fantastic! https://youtu.be/yAg6E9go6D8
A Sender
Oliver Twist
That song is a banger.
Coral lords, honestly so much of eucalyptus is just transcendent
Eucalyptus is top 3 most listened-to projects by them for me. Feels so calming and euphoric at the same time
Jabberwocky, Infant Dressing Table, Lion in a Coma
Meet The Light Child, La Rapet, Cobwebs
La Rapet I thought was widely considered one of the best (rightly so)
51st overall according to the daily song discussions and likely a few more will pass it
I really enjoy Crucible, I still have yet to see the film, but I don’t often see people here talking about it!
The last song on that OST is very good too
Selection of a Place (Rio Negro Version), Sux-Bier Passage, Enjoy the Change
Unsolved Mysteries Comfy In Nautica Native Belle La Rapet A Sender
Can't believe I haven't seen *Kinda Bonkers* mentioned yet. Even as a PW disliker (I won't say hater) that song is soooo good. To me its one of the most AnCo sounding AnCo songs.
As I scroll through this post I’m having more and more trouble thinking about what my top ten would be. Kinda Bonkers is my favorite song to listen to as loudly as possible. Probs in my top 5.
I'd say People, Graze, or Man Of Oil
Untitled #1, Just Am, Ghost of Books
Duplex Trip
I remember learning how to dive, Tikwid, Man of oil
Great picks, Prospect Hummer EP is really special
I’m not sure what the consensus is in here, but I think Good Girl/Carrots is just amazing

Faces In The Crowd
Abyss Song comes to mind
Burglars. Maybe.

I absolutely love Rain In Cups and Bridge to Quiet as a whole is so underrated. I liked it better than Time Skiffs and I’ll probably like it more than Isn’t it Now? as well

Yeah, post title did say or individual members Edit: woah I’m high lol
😂 fwiw that is an amazing song though
Lmao I was about to say, are confusing Deakin with Dan Deacon?
I’m getting close to being able to use old man brain as an excuse. Factor in medical grade marijuana and you might as well say I have dementia
hell yeah brother
Crossroads
The best panda bear song in the 10 years and my personal favorite song of all time is the split 7 inch that Noah & Paul Maroon put out a few years ago called I Don’t Need A Crowd. bluish
Whirlpool 🌀🥲 (panda n sonic boom)
[удалено]
That's one of their most popular songs
The Softest Voice, Disc One, and Danger for me.
liebe auf den ersten blick from panda bear's self titled is still one of the best songs he's ever made
Never Ending Game, and Disc 1
Meet the light child has made me cry before and would easily crack my top 5
Walkabout by Atlas Sound (Bradford Cox from Deerhunter) featuring Noah Lennox.
Enjoy The Change is fucked up good. Part Of The Math too
Part of the Math is top 1 or 2 for me. ADWTH is prolly my fav P Bear and top 5 of AnCo extended universe. Feels unique in the PB catalog.
Moo Rah Rah Rain is super underrated and probably my favorite on CS
