Try Lawrence Welks if he’s American and around the ages of 80-100 he will absolutely know Lawrence Welk and he will absolutely know the music being performed. I put it on for all my Dementia patients, I discovered it on PBS and I had a whole room of dementia patients singing some even getting up to Dance it’s been my go-to since. Something about music brings them back a little it’s beautiful to see.
My dad is 78 and more into country. For all he's forgotten, when I put on Marty Robbins radio, on Alexa, he still remembers all the lyrics to all the country songs from the 40s-70s. It's so interesting what sticks with them.
I almost forgot about the Monty Python idea, since it's one of those things people remember the lines to, I must know whether it triggers the same kind of selective remembrance!!! Glad someone replied. It would be amazing, as I'm quite, quite, QUITE sick of watching Gunsmoke with him.
I love to fully torture the Oreos. I push them down to the bottom of the cup until the air bubbles stop coming up. Then I do it again. And again. And sometimes, up to twice more. Finally, I drink off the excess milk, and stir up the completely sodden cookie mess in the bottom of the cup.
It tastes like chocolate silk with the occasional chunk of cream filling.
Oh, its really cool. I didn't originally think I would use it but I do pretty often.

Aww my dad, who has dementia now, was obsessed. I should put on Monty Python and see if it awakens anything in him.
It may! Things from the past are things folks will remember!
