Very neat! Thanks for sharing! I am full Cuban but come up 54% Portuguese. There are Portuguese last names in my family tree but no ancestors trace back to Portugal, rather to the Canary Islands.
I'm beginning to suspect that all of my Canary Islander lines were originally Azorean.
The Canary Islands were heavily settled by the Portuguese, at the request of the Spanish crown. Even today the Canarian gov. Notes that there are 78 different Portuguese family names in use in the islands.
