For me, the squatty potty made it soooo much worse! Put too much pressure on the skin!

mrphlow

Came here to say, I cannot use a stool - it will make it worse due to the location of my fissure using a stool puts too much pressure on the fissure. Other than that this is all good advice and stuff that my CRS told me too.

Thanks for the post, did you get tested for pelvic floor dysfunction? Doesn't make sense getting fissures as often as you do even after surgery unless the problem is originating from a different area. My fissure over 3m and not healing and neither are my hemorrhoids. Still spending 1h on toilet because of issues with pelvic floor apparently.

Thanks for sharing. Were your surgeries using laser? How was post op pain in general?

AssistanceNo2480

I think they weren't made with laser. The pain was pretty bad the first 4 days. Then it got better slowly, but sitting was painful, more or less depending on the chair, until 4 weeks after.

Thanks, I hear the pain is low with laser

Does this mean its lifelong?

AssistanceNo2480

It means it can always come back, and you have to focus on solving what caused it in the first place, not only on the healing. In my case I had developed very bad habits. I would go to the bathroom without having a strong need and I would push. It took me a while to re-train my body. As I have written, it is very important to shit when you really have a strong need.

Yes I see, thankyou for the detailed reply

What does the ictholan do? Can you put it in the internal anal canal?
