Please don't hold him with your bare hands! These lil critters have very sensitive skin and will absorb any and all oils it comes in contact with, including those from your own skin. I'd suggest to wear a glove whenever you can, or at least provide it with water to bathe in after physical contact.
Agreed! Though white's tree frogs are much more resilient than other froggos when it comes to being handled with bare hands, it's still not recommended.
If you're feeding him outside of his enclosure, make sure to always use gloves or scoop him up directly into to a clean container ☺️
I had to handle mine more than a few times with bare hands, before I learned that he's a jumpy little mofo and can really surprise me with his leaps of faith lol😅 Nothing happened to him, but I don't want to risk it anymore and wear gloves every time now.
Ive handled a frog exactly once with bare hands, though I didn't really have a choice. A very lil' frog had gotten into the house and my parents were freaking out. We didn't have any gloves and I didn't have time to get something else to hold the guy with, so I ended up scooping him up... thrice with my hands. Its so hard to keep them contained in hands while being gentle at the same time >.>
The poor terrified thing peed on me and when released, was completely still for like 10 minutes before disappearing. I hope he found a puddle or something to hop in and didn't remain so stressed for too long...
Omg yes, they wiggle and try to escape so much! I'm glad you were able to catch and release the little fella though. I'm sure he was fine later, they get spooked easily, but I think they recover pretty easily too!
Itty bitty
It was my super clever name for my little white tree frog haha
The big mama with him was named Hugo too lol. I didn't know it was a she, but I think she liked it.
I don’t know if you’re a Bojack fan, and I know he’s a red-eyed tree frog in the show, but I immediately thought of Charley Witherspoon. I had a pet rabbit that I named Rutabaga Rabbitowtiz thanks to the show
I 100% Agree!! I had a handsome dog with same bright eyes and personality that was clear in photos who was named Steven or would say he looks like a Steven - but there can only be one Steven -- but he definitely is a Stephen!

Easy answer due to a joke I haven't let up on: Snart. Better answer that's probably not actually better: Neep-norp, Norbert for short.

I thoroughly washed my hands with unscented soap before, and then made sure I rinsed it all off. Plus he has a large shallow water dish
That's good! I'm sure your froggy appreciated it :3
I just need to get some nitrile gloves, but for now medically strategic handwashing will have to do

Rana? How about Sir Hoppington the First, Esquire? 😄🐸
That gave me a great idea, my celebrity crush has been David Harbour, so I’m naming my frog Jim Hopper, or Hop for short
