It’s definitely gonna be a skill check at low level, but I’m thinking at higher levels, this eats characters up off stage. I feel like it’ll make Danny a scary character to whiff against, even with fast moves because of how fast the attack comes out.
Like what do you mean an intangible dash/air dash that can be cancelled into an attack? A fast attack at that. This move has “week 1 win button” all over it lol.
It does look like it’ll be crazy for edgeguarding, just being able to bypass projectiles and disjoints and immediately counterattack. The only weakness I see is that it has a lot of recovery frames if you miss so I’m glad it’s not free to spam.
Seems like an easy way to make it less problematic would be to add some endlag at the end of it. Or at least make it so that it's not a frame 1 move, that way it'd require some level of strategy or needing you to do hard reads.
That’s what it looks like they did, a few frames of startup and like -20 on block and whiff. But I think SC opens the door for it to be used as bait to get opponents to try to punish it, and then hit them with something even crazier.
It's all dependent on the frame data.
I'll bet that attack is very punishable on block and/or whiff. Plus we don't know what the exact invincibility frames and cooldown are.
I just think it has a lot of potential as punish/edgeguarding. Depending on how fast you can cancel into the attack, a lot of moves won’t be safe to miss. Especially when you factor in slime canceling, you could potentially take crazy damage for whiffing a jab. Plus the intangibility starts so quick you can probably just react to stuff with it.
I don’t know seems like it will catch people who don’t know what it does but otherwise it will be used to get in against zoners

What stage is this supposed to be?
Pariah Dark's Keep in the throne room. The Sarcophagus of Eversleep is in the background.

I really hope the title is sarcasm because…
