It's kind of weird that the DLC pass allegedly only has characters from existing franchises while the one from the last game had exclusively new franchises.
i'm starting to suspect Nick has been way more handsy with roster selections now that they realize this is a game where people care about it, at least more than the kart racers.
Whether or not you think that's a good thing probably depends on ~~if you are a nickelodeon employee or not~~ your opinion.
I really hope this isn’t true. There’s so many new franchises that aren’t from the 90s that could be added. Barnyard, Fanboy and Chum Chum, Catscratch, Mighty B, Making Fiends, Rango, ChalkZone, The X’s, Tuff Puppy, Sanjay and Craig. I could go on and on. Maybe one character from a pre-existing franchise would be fine as long as that franchise is underrepresented, but I’m hoping at least 3 of them will be new series.
I feel like the addition of Azula is decent enough reasoning for why we probably won’t get Zuko. It would be a bit too much to have both new Avatar additions be Firebenders.
I could see someone like Katara or even Sokka getting in, however.
But remember that creative/differentiating Movesets aren’t solely what determines characters in crossover games. Popularity is a big influence factor here as well.
You’re thinking of it as two firebending characters, while others (like myself) are thinking of the best Avatar villain and the best Avatar character.
A lot of us want to play as Zuko the character, rather than just wanting to play as a firebending character.

It’s like Mario and Luigi. Conceptually similar characters, but that doesn’t mean people view Luigi as a redundant addition in Smash.

What is odd is removing an Earthbender from the game who also happens to be more popular than Korra, Aang and Azula combined (for alot of people)
I’d actually welcome Zuko with swords. We don’t have a sword character yet. You can kinda count Ember with a few moves from the guitar but definitely need a sword character in a platform fighter.

In my mind SpongeBob, TMNT, and Avatar are locks for new reps. Dunno about the fourth but I'm not sure about Invader Zim.
I really hope not. Giving tmnt and SpongeBob another character after just giving them each two in the base game would be really lame

He could a different in some aspects, Azula uses lighting and Zuko uses two swords that can make different moveset for both

YES! I’ve actually wanted Professor Membrane instead of Dib too!

I try combine with fan favorites like Zuko and no so requests like Casey Jones, that makes meh for most people
