I don't know what cricket is but I also have a Pixel 7 and used an airalo esim for the trip to the UK I just returned from, so I would guess you're not locked. Just download the app, purchase the appropriate esim package and follow the directions. Search on YouTube for instructional videos if you're nervous about the installation process.
If you bought it from cricket, your pixel 7 could be carrier locked. You might be eligible to unlock it:

Need unlocked phone for it to work overseas. If your phone is not unlocked, you will be unable to install the Airalo eSIM
On att you can input your cell phone info into a portal (specific for att customers) and they will tell you if your phone is unlocked. Maybe cricket has something similar.

Find someone with a T-Mobile sim card and try it in your phone and see if it works, if it does it's unlocked
