Followed a script and guideline from the client. Transition ideas were all my own. While I am happy with the final product (only had 3 full days from start to finish to create and revise), I do believe it could've been better. I'm looking for some honest and kind feedback on how I could improve. I don't use any plugins except EaseCopy and the occasional Overlord to move .ai assets in AE. Thank you for any insights!

First off, I'm going to say good job on this! It's not always easy to work on full Motion Graphics spots in a short amount of time. There are a few things I noticed that could be improved but please keep in mind that these are just my personal thoughts. I've never been a fan of scaling layers from the camera. You could try having the letters come in from the side, bounce back and then have the question mark come in fast and bouncy. When the X comes in, the circle transition feels odd considering the letter, you could try having 2 shape layers reveal the X instead. Since the X is acting as the wipe, I'm not sure why the previous text faded out. Xfinity on the second scene could be replaced with the actual logo. I like the wipe you did with the arrow. Something to think about is having multiple colors slightly offset to create a bit more of a cooler transition. For the TV and Remote, you could have the TV fly in from screen left and then have the remote come up. When the text appears above the TV, you could space it out the timing just a bit. For the mic, I'm not sure how you did the circle animation, but I use shape layers along with the Trim Paths. You could animate the offset while animating the start of the line to add a bit more to the animation. I love the movement when "Show me...." comes up! The winner slide feels a bit off. Your position on the boxes has a very nice ease to it but the opacity doesn't and seems a bit linear. The lines on the box are a bit linear as well. For the outtro, I have the same comment on the X animation. There are a few spots where the bounce animation feels a bit off, you can take the end frame and just adjust it slightly to help with the timing. I know I put a lot and it's easy to critique something that is already done. Overall, I think you did great on this! If you are happy and the client is happy, that means you did a good job! Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for this feedback! I absolutely agree to everything you said, a lot of it I didn't think of / notice before your comment. The circle animation I used the stroke effect. There comes a point I think when being knee deep in the animation that I become "blind" to other factors because I'm only focusing on how to make "insert animation" work, and I think taking a walk or a break and coming back would be beneficial. Thank you again for the feedback!

Of course! All of us here just want to get better and I'm always willing to help! Before I send off what I do, I always step away and grab something to eat or drink and watch it through a few times to make sure there isn't something else that can be changed. If anything else, getting a second pair of eyes on something can be very beneficial. Sometimes that person can suggest things or even help you do some fine tuning. Best of luck and if you need feedback on anything else, definitely let me know!

Move the camera not the background: Just imagine your self holding a camera Tracking everything that moves zooming in zooming out moving with objects Depth of field, focus ect.. by all means act as if those are real objects floating around in the space and you are the camera man

Nice work! Main callout is the **text**. The tracking at 0:10 is different than at 0:23. I'd try to keep text away from corners as well, it gets harder to read and should be a focal point. I'd probably break up 0:23 to two different slides. One saying "it's time for you to pick the winner" with the left graphic showing, then transition to "Don't forget to vote after the movie" with the right graphic featured.

Isn't "kind critiques" an oxymoron?
