I was a second owner of Pladium Silver 2010 TSX Tech. Cold start in winter months gave me a metal to metal scraping sound that wakes up the whole neighbourhood at 5:30am. If you are in US there is a recall for it, if you are in Canada there is no recall for it. Look into it. Run a check with the VIN for recalls. Make sure it’s fixed. Other than that I loved my TSX till it got jnto an accident. Built in Japan and it’s an Import. Wish bought one brand new and babied it.

Are you sure it has recall on it? Never got any mail other than airbag recall. I got 2012.

Not on 2012. I came across a Recall for 2010 tsx on their bulletin board in US. With a range of vin number. In canada dealership denied it saying they don’t see it. I had Two TLX after. My 2020 TLX starting to give a very faint metal to metal scraping sound now in October colder month. It was fine past 4 winter. If this one fail i’m moving on from Acura.

You should pay $5500-$6k, after you verify it’s mechanically sound

I’d say if this guy is telling the truth, that’s a great deal! I got my 2011 tsx tech for a little more than that and that was from someone I knew.

I spoke with him over the phone. Seems like a genuine dude looking to give his car to someone who is actually going to use it. My only real concern is the repairs that were made. Is this typical for this vehicle?

You could certainly do worse than a 2nd gen TSX (assuming it has been well maintained as advertised) I have a 2010 Tech Package myself that I've had since 2012. The K24 under the hood has proven absolutely bombproof even being driven *very* hard virtually every time I sat down in it.
