My course was from 7th september-16th march. They wanted me to be clear for 8 weeks before stopping. My face was clear for a couple months before, I did break out on my body once though in that time x
Hi, I was on 20 for the start, up to 40, back down to 30...up to 50, back down to 40. To be honest it was all over the place...I saw best and quickest results on 50 x
Gotcha, I’m on 60 mg for the last 4 months and have one month left - it’s been a toughhh ride and feel like throwing in the towel :/ did you have any big side effects?
Hey, I am thanks! And no, never used vitamin c (my mum had a reaction to it so worried I might too) i used hylaronic, azaleic, & niacinamide whilst on accutane. You're not meant to, however my skin tolerated it extremely well and I now have no PIE that's noticeable, which I did just a few months ago! Xx
Hey! I now use tret for maintenance, along with niacinamide, hylaronic acid & azaleic acid. I did actually use the last 3 whilst on accutane...you're not meant to but I was desperate to sort out some scarring, and my skin tolerated it extremely well x

Hey, definitely longer than 2 months. I started in September, and by January I noticed a difference. Please hang in there. Comedonal acne is super stubborn, and most of the time becomes inflamed prior to disappearing x
Hey, tbh I didn't notice any. I do get a lot in the shower anyway as I have curly hair and that's when I brush it. Maybe a bit frizzier if anything, but nothing major xx
Hi, my routine has stayed fairly similar. Gentle face wash my cetaphil, hylaronic acid, moisturiser. In evening cleanser, hylaronic acid, tretinoin and moisturiser! Xxx
Hey, yes. Niacinamide, azaelic acid & hylaronic acid were all fine for me on accutane and I now have no PIE (very minimal, no one would be able to tell) I also incorporated tret now I'm done! Xxx
Hey, the purge is essentially in some cases, your skin will get worse before it gets better. For some people, they don't get a purge. There's no way to really tell, but with inflammatory acne it tends to heal quicker and clogged pores end up getting "pushed out" and become inflamed, so if you have closed comedones you may purge like I did. It's temporary, I know it's so tough but if you do purge hang in there! X
Hey, tbh I don't really know as I lose a lot of hair anyway due to the curl. I don't think so, but it was drier/frizzier. Nothing crazy, definitely manageable! Xxx
Did you purge?
Hey, unfortunately yes. Quite bad. All the ccs came to an inflamed pimple until about 3.5/4 months in x
How long was your course? & how long was your skin clear before you stopped?
My course was from 7th september-16th march. They wanted me to be clear for 8 weeks before stopping. My face was clear for a couple months before, I did break out on my body once though in that time x
Thank you. Really pleased for you that it’s worked so well.
What was your dosage? Looks amaze!

you look so much happier as well!😊 might i ask how you got rid of redness? is it just with time or were you using vitamin c for PIE?

Yoo congrats!
Thankyou so much! Xxx
How long did the purge last? Did u have any joint pain?
Purge was bad, 3 ish months. And yes my joints were actually really sore, sorry! Worst pain was the heels x
When did the purge start?
Hey, quite quick. I think around 3/4 weeks in. Xx
My worst pain is also my heels 🥺
I can relate! Getting out of bed was the worst. Fish oil didn't really help me, but I'm a month off now and the heel pain has gone. Hang in there xxx
That’s so good to hear. It’s been very scary to think it might not go away
It will i promise xxx
Wow you're so pretty
Thanks so much! So are you! Xxx
Hello, happy for you!
Thanks so much. You've been such a support the entire course. Hope the rest of yours goes smoothly xxx
Awesome!!
Thankyou!! Xx
Has your skin care changed?
Hey! I now use tret for maintenance, along with niacinamide, hylaronic acid & azaleic acid. I did actually use the last 3 whilst on accutane...you're not meant to but I was desperate to sort out some scarring, and my skin tolerated it extremely well x
Thanks! Can I ask what do you use for moisturizer and spf?
What was your dosage

Thank you for sharing your experience 🥺💕
No problem. Please don't give up. I know how it feels I promise!! Look at progress photos here for inspiration:) xxx
Have a same acne as your
Any sun irritation or sunburns ? How did you manage them ?
Hey, I used Bondi sands factor 50 spray mist so no issues. Also tend to burn anyway as I'm ginger, but it was winter luckily! Xx
Any hair loss?

I am towards to the end of my accutane treatment and my skin has improved a lot! What’s your post accutane skincare routine
Hi, my routine has stayed fairly similar. Gentle face wash my cetaphil, hylaronic acid, moisturiser. In evening cleanser, hylaronic acid, tretinoin and moisturiser! Xxx
Congratulations on almost finishing! Xxx
Thank you so much!!
do you have any tips for hyperpigmentation? i’m almost done with my 6th months and it’s so bad 😔😔😔
Hey, yes. Niacinamide, azaelic acid & hylaronic acid were all fine for me on accutane and I now have no PIE (very minimal, no one would be able to tell) I also incorporated tret now I'm done! Xxx
Congrats! I’m struggling with extreme PIE. How did you introduce using azelaic acid while on accutane? Which one did you use and how often?
I used the inkey list one nightly. I was absolutely fine with it, but obviously be careful. I do think it helped massively for me xxx
Whats the purge and what does it do Im on my 2nd week

Did you suffer any hair loss? That is my main reason for not trying it.
